I don't believe in pure and simple meritocracy, in high spheres (politicians/big companies) it probably does not even exist because they will always put relatives/friends, and in most of the cases people who start with some advantage will still have it in the future, but I do think that you can always make the difference sometimes, or at least in routine life.

That said... Any ideas for the next one? :)

Or if we're gonna get into politics, hoe about doing it with a random country. Who's your favorite president from Nauru is definitely gonna be intresting and relevant to everyone in this server!

A bit obscure, don't you think?

Anyway, here you have the previous results.

Time to move to the next one. It took a while, right?
The question is simple. Just like it is considered there are some movies/books that everyone should know about... Do you think there are videogames that everyone should play at least once? If that's the case, which one are them? :confus:

Minecraft is an absolutely must-play for everyone. I’d say Rayman Legends as well but, y’know, maybe that’s a stretch. :oops2:

BOOBIES FUR LYF!!!

But personally I’d say a must play game is hypnospace outlaw, great parody of Microsoft and how greedy they’ve become over the years!

Bitch I'm such an expert at single player I would rank Top 50 GrandMaster if it was competitive.

I voted "No, each gamer path is different" as I can't really think of a game I played that everyone could realistically enjoy. It's actually pretty rare for somebody to play all categories of video games.

I think the figures are real, but where it gets tricky is when people start attributing it all to discrimination, while in fact it is a conscious choice for many women to pursue less financially rewarding paths than men, whether it's in terms of higher studies or once in the workplace. How much of that is influenced by societal biases, and how much can be attributed to natural differences between men and women (in turn raising the question, how much did the latter shape the former), I have no idea, and neither does anyone pretending to know. What one should take into account is the pay gap for equal work (adjusted pay gap), which certainly needs to be addressed but is at least an order of magnitude smaller, and sometimes almost zero. (According to Wikipedia: "In the United States, for example, the non-adjusted average woman's annual salary is 79–83% of the average man's salary, compared to 95–99% for the adjusted average salary.")

Probably not the presidents under whose leadership the island's resources were unsustainably exhausted and the profits from their exploitation completely wasted. :oops2:
