I think Michel Ancel was planning a DLC for Rayman Legends with the Drak’s Nightmare world sometime

Depends on if you consider the “special challenges” from 2014-2017 to be updates or not

Unpopular(?) opinion: Rayman 3 is better than Rayman 2.
It had more vibrant worlds, a lot more personality, more and better enemies (there's another hot take, the Hoodlums are better than the Robo-Pirates in my opinion), more fleshed-out combat, a cooler design for Rayman; the list goes on!

I swear this topic is like r/unpopularopinion. Either an opinion that is popular and will make everyone go “Oh yeah! That’s literally me!”. Or an opinion that is so outlandish that everyone goes “What? How could one think that?”.
Unpopular opinion: Greengoop should stop saying that whenever seeing another post on this thread

Rayman 3 tends to tie or sometimes even rank higher than Rayman 2 in the Favourite Rayman Game survey, they also have similar rating scores. I think it's fair to say thinking Rayman 3 is better than 2 isn't quite the unpopular take that you might think.
Now if you were to say (and this isn't my personal opinion I'm just causing trouble) that Rayman Legends is better than Rayman 2...that I can imagine would cause some gnashing of teeth.

Mega unpopular and arguably flat-out wrong opinion: Rayman Raving Rabbids DS is cooler and more fascinating than Raving Raving Rabbids GBA ( )

That definitely wouldn't make my teeth gnash! I actually agree with that!
Unpopular(?) opinion: Captain Laserhawk butchered Rayman. I know there are fans of this depiction of Rayman (or Ramon, if you will), but in my opinion it is an offensive caricature of the Glade of Dreams' hero. You wouldn't catch Rayman in the games snorting coke, swearing at people, or any of the other mess he was getting up to in that show; and if he does any of that even once in any future games, I'm legitimately going to flip out.

Tbh I don’t think he will? Cuz the games are family friendly. Also that take isn’t very hot lol.
My hot take is that the Rayman fandom (especially on Twitter and Reddit) are too judgemental of newer fans who discovered Rayman through captain Laserhawk or Bwallhalla. Why are you mad they discovered the games through another medium that isn’t directly connected to the games themselves? Yes yes, I know those fans can get VERY annoying… but as long as their not causing harm.. I don’t see why it’s an issue? Some people genuinely discovered the franchise through other means, like captain Laserhawk and want to see how the depiction of Rayman in the games is different to CLH and brawlhall.
TLDR: I think some of yall are far too judgemental, and need to learn how to chill the fuck out.

I didn't even know that was a thing. I've heard older posts here talk about "Rayman from Brawlhalla" in jest, but I didn't know it was an actual problem until now. (Then again, I don't really use Twitter or Reddit, probably for good reason, so I wouldn't have noticed anyway)

All I’m saying is, education is important, even if it’s for something as silly as this. Twitter and Reddit just seem to be overprotective of Rayman tbh. Heard another Rayman selfshipper had to stop posting Rayman art for half a year because people dmed them threats! Glad I’m not on Twitter!

I think there is a limit to how many unpopular opinions can be talked about here, due to the limited amount of actual Rayman content...but maybe I'm wrong.

I keep going back and forth in my opinion on CL Rayman, but overall I tend to learn more negatively toward him. Something about CL Rayman really rubs me the wrong way

I am more under the opinion that his name is not Rayman, but Ramon. People need to stop using that name for him.

I think it’s alright to judge people for being annoying. I’m not harming them, and they’re not harming me, so it’s alright! .

Really? Reddit? Those guys have very generic takes on Rayman, so I’m surprised they actively assault fans for being somehow “less of fans” than they are. There’s also that one guy spamming semi-r34 on there at the moment.

Gotta disagree with you there, as much as I hate the presentation of “Ramon” there. You can choose how you perceive Rayman, the public is none of your concern.

Ey, finally there is someone who doesn't like Ramon as well.
It's still pretty unpopular opinion about Ramon, at least in big places.
Tbh, I still remember those days that people would literally eat you up on Twitter, if you didn't like Ramon (and Rayman's depiction in the show in general) or would call you a fake fan for not liking it, as people kept spreading a notion that "only non-Rayman fans disliked Laserhawk Rayman since every Rayman fan enjoyed it".
Besides drugs stuff and that infamous sushi cow scene (that I still don't like at all, there were so many ways to him discover the news!), he also feels like wannabe Shadow the Hedgehog for me, that one from his own game from 2000s with guns and "stealing candies from babies" and "that damn 4th chaos emerald", but way more edgier than before and with butchered tommy guns. Hell, even got a haircut similar to Shadow!
He felt pretty butchered a lot (along with other characters like Jade and Pey'j for example) and with one of interviews, where Adi Shankar said that he always say Rayman as a propangadist and it was his first thought, it begs a question; did he even play Rayman games or Ubisoft games at that matter at all? It really reeks of a guy who never played those games at all, yet claims he knows stuff (similar attitude with other adaptions, like the most recent Devil May Cry for example).

The difference between the two is, Shadow pulled it off way better! I can never hear Ramon saying "Damn! Not here..." whenever he loses
He'd probably shoot whoever was controlling him first and then the person who tried to kill him next

I hate shadow, but I also don’t particularly love sonic, so I might’ve to say I prefer Ramon
