That is a fantastic achievement too. I suppose if you had combo'd that Heckler you could have obtained your 60k score, but then again maybe it's not worth the effort. With my version of gameplay, you can be landed with about 60500 points (assuming the Lum conversion rate is excellent). If we did pass part 1 with such a staggering score we could diddle around with some combos in the following part, but we'd really need to make some drastic changes to the green gem combo. Maybe it's a possibility though. By the way, in the final Hoodstormer combo did you combo the piggybank and the 20 or so gems in the secret room?

Hm, it seems we get the same out of the Elite Monger and the lone Heckler. I combo the Elite Monger with a Pig and you combo the Heckler with the Lum from said Elite Monger.
How do you use the two Pigs and four yellow gems on the boxes?
Yes, I comboed the Pig and the yellow gems after the final Hoodstormer. It's a combo of around 2.350 points.
I still have no ideas for radical improvements in part 2, but I will take a closer look as soon as the exams are over.

Hang on a minute, you say you combo the Elitemonger with a pig? Well this must mean the 'second' (first of the three) Heckler only gets combo'd for 500 points then? So in effect you'd still lose 500 from not comboing the first Heckler with a Black Lum.
It's scary how well you scored. I haven't even managed to combo the gems in the secret room with the Hoodstormer.

There are two Pigs and four yellow gems on the boxes. I use one of those Pigs for the Elite Monger. The four yellow gems and the remaining Pig are reserved for the 3 Heckler Combo. The first two Hecklers give 1.000 points each in combo and the last one gives 1.500 points.
It is a challenge to reach the secret room in time to continue the combo after the Hoodstormer. A small hint: Immediately after killing the Hoodstormer (make sure you stand where Throttle Copter can appears as you do so) adjust the camera so you face the secret room. Quickly run towards it and at the right moment, use the Throttle Copter to fly to the room. Hit the Pig right away and head for the yellow gems.

@all: I do count the glitches this way:
1 hits: Razoff's 1500 points are counted ONE time.
2 hits: Razoff's 1500 points are DOUBLED countet, so I call this a DOUBLE gltich, because of the score Razoff gives, and not because of the number of glitches. And thanks for the hint for FC.

Disappointing inactivity in this topic. What level is everyone playing at present?

The Desert of the Knarran, my favourite, because it had my favourite boss in the game-reflux.

Are you going for a decent score?

I'm on Part 3. I can't remeber what I got so far, but it's defeniatly better than what i got the other times I've tried to improve. The annoying thing is though, sometimes when i distract the knarran using the shock rocket to hit the gongs, they come back too soon and block me, making me start to loose points.

I haven't been playing Rayman 3 for months now. I'm currently just not in the mood.

I gave up weeks ago after I couldn't get the triple conversion from Razoff once again.

I'm playing the LOTLD for 119599. But I prefer MandM's Combos, because they're easier for me. The Matuvu-Combo is no problem, but the Hoodlum-Combo is tricky. I lose 300 points at the beginning, and around 700 points in the rest of the combo, but it should be enough to get 38000 after part 1! Part 2 is very hard for me, especially the last room and the Tribelle-Combo is quite hard. One question: What do you prefer? Comboing the Tribelle for 2500 and the Matuvu for 0 (easier) or comboing the Tribelle for 1500 and the Matuvu for 2500 (more difficult)? The fact, that I'm not very good in playing with Matuvu-Tricks (the first Matuvu of the DOTK, part 3 is HORRIBLE), should speak for the first way, but it will lose 1500 points, so I can "only" get 59000 after part 2, and this are only 500 points for secure...
After I did this non-sense, FC will be played, 36000 wants to be got
After that, all the levels (without CF) are played for a good result, so I will play the Summit beyond the clouds, 104500 without Snowboardtrick, yaay!!!

You can combo both the Tribelle and the Matuvu for 2500 points. It would give your score the boost you need to play a relaxed third part but it's not an easy combo. The hard thing about giving tips for TLOTLD is that there are two or more versions for every major combo in the whole level and every player uses another set of combos to get the maximum.

I think people who have the PC version with a proper joypad can get the scores way easier than people who use the console version. Because I think that you can save anywhere you want on the PC version. So you could save right before a combo, and if it doesn't go right, you can reload and easily try again. On the console versions, if you mess up a combo, you have to start the level all over again.

I started playing Rayman 3 again, and boy did I choose the worst level to resume playing on.
I started playing again just after I had started the Summit Beyond the Clouds, and I couldn't even finish the second part in 30 minutes.
That was also the only time that I've died, other than in the Desert of the Knarren.

Just finished the exams and I will have time for R3 again. I guess I'll return to TOTL part 1 and see if I can nail those 60.000 points. Otherwise I'll go through some of the levels to see if I can squeeze some more points out of them somewhere.
What are you playing at the moment?

...hating Land of the livid dead
DTUCC said: easy 100000, with a littlebit practise, curt 120000^^ how sick is this guy?
part 1 is even horrible, don't know why. Last playing I did it in 20 minutes with 35700, now I already lost 2 weeks with trying to get approximately 38000...
I will be happy, when I will have finished this non-sense, with some practise, FC is done in 2 hours. After that, I have to welcome my greatest mission ever... It should use a looong time to do this, I think, you know what I mean (SBTC)?
But it would be a great achievment, to jump from 788000 to 812000^^ 24000 points in one level, it would be my greatest improvement ever, my 2nd-biggest improvement was getting 90000 in BOM (20000). I'm sick, 2 huge improvements with 755000 points (my score before playing BOM)^^ This is not usual for normal players, I think...
One question: is my english good, can you understand it well?
