Yeah. It's 4 player CO-OP and fun to play :D
Plus if they add story, it would be perfect.
If they were to care about story, they would have added a story to the two recent games... I doubt there will be one, unfortunately.

But didn't Ancel said he want a story too?
But then again, that was before

Seems he did not want a story. If he did, he would have made one in the recent two games.

Indeed, he said that for Origins, and seeing Legends has a more barebones story than Origins, the focus has clearly shifted to the contrary.

Note that whether or not a game has an in-depth story is not entirely up to Ancel. He may still want one, but there may be opposing parties involved.

Hm, true, though I'd have thought his say in the matter would substantial given he's pretty much the lead. But, seeing as I'm not involved, there's no point in assuming, I guess.

They probably gave minimal stories to RO and RL to ease new players into a franchise that's been on Rabbid-hiatus.

Yeah, using that formula would be great. Maybe call it Rayman Dimensions? Heh

When it comes to platformers, Story isn't the most important after all :D
If there was a Rayman RPG, Then the story should be one of the main focuses.

Speaking of a Rayman RPG...It could include characters from previous games such as Ly, The classic magician (still think hes a different person from the RO/RL magician >:3 ), and maybe even add previous enemies to your party, Super Mario RPG and Mario and Luigi: Bowsers inside story did it, so why not rayman :D

The thing that people often forget though, is that creating a story requires writers to put it together, and the cutscenes need to be animated and such. And even if they were cutscenes where you could still technically move around freely, they would consume play time. Ancel may be the lead, but he's not Hitler. If other people on the team really just wanted to focus on the game mechanics and presentation, and keep the story minimal, then he can't really force them to. This applies to any game. Not to mention that the execs may find the game easier to market if it has a bare bones plot. And a little less money would need to be spent on making cutscenes and what not.

Ah, fair enough then, like I said, my knowledge of game development is pretty limited, so there's not really much point to the assumption I made.

True. It takes a lot of cooperation to make a game. And if you don't have that, well all you get is a bunch of arguing people.

Anyways, I'm here just thinking more and more of a 3D platformer 4 Co-Op Rayman game.

I can see it share some traits with Ratchet and Clank: All 4 One, thinking about it.

I was thinking more of Super Mario 3D World, but that title can work too.

They only problem I see in that is that they need to make an all new gameplay style for Rayman. They probably can't use the 3D gameplay from 2 and 3, and I'm not sure that the Origins/Legends gameplay will work in 3D.

I'm pretty sure it can. It just needs to be thought through.

A Rayman RPG would kick butt.

I could see a Rayman RPG. It just needs to be in the hands of the right developers (assuming Ancel and his team don't know how to make an RPG).

Eck...I'm not much into RPGs, so it doesn't interest me really.

That was debated before and the majority concluded it wouldn't be a good idea. There's not enough material for such.
