Rayman Pirate-Community

I only noticed how great the gameplay/music synchronisation was on my third viewing. I wonder if the music has to be composed specifically to match each level, just like scoring a film?

Im very disappointed. Rayman Legends seems to be designed only for Wii U.

Im still watching and waiting for BG&E2 if its not coming then i cant believe i wasted my night watching all this crap.

Anyways Rayman Legends was quite outstanding, I nearly pissed myself when I saw murfy... I have a very sick feeling in my stomach that tells me this might be a Wii-U exclusive, I really do not want this.

Oh godness, I was jaw-dropped from the beginning until the end. The graphics, the music and...MURFY! Holy COW! I absolutly LOVED the music level. *0*

Damnit Ubisoft, I was hesitating between PS3 and Wii U, but I think I'll go to the Wii U after all. You really know how to amaze people. *0*

Yo guys wassup I haven't been active for like a year haha, but anyways origins was a masterpiece this looks even better!!! Though I keep hearing it a wii U exclusive, ya know what if thats so im buying a Wii U specifically for this game Hope Bzzit makes an appearance in this game!!

Okay, since I don't know how to collate all my thoughts together in a coherent paragraph, I'll just put down all my opinions/thoughts/junk in some bullet points :

*So first off, it seems like there really is a big focus on the Wii U right now. When I saw the leaked trailer, I thought they just meant that it was for all platforms but that there were going to be exclusive cheap gimmicks...uhh...features for the Wii U. Now it's beginning to seem like a Wii U exclusive . Oh well, I guess we'll just have to wait and see. If it is, I guess I'm counted out of playing for little while (as in a few years probably )...

*Still getting the vibe that the colours are a little more dull in comparison to Origins, which is a real shame

*Murphy could either be very fun, or very lame gimmick-tastic, depending on how they pull it off. From what I see at the moment, it almost looks like the game won't be possible in single player, although I doubt that! Nice to see a new player character.

*The gameplay itself is still very Rayman Origins, so it looks like they are sticking to the formula. I'll be honest in saying I wasn't expecting a gameplay demo so soon, and just a trailer in the vein of the leaked one but tons better. It certainly does mean that they're working on it fast! At the same time, I really don't like games that are rushed to release, so I hope time is being taken on this and we won't see it for a few years...

*It's interesting to note that the cages and other rescue-able Teensies are actually within the main level now as opposed to being enclosed in separate rooms. I'm sure a lot of people will be happy to see that because I recall many finding it too easy in Origins. Personally, I never really minded considering how frustrating is was in Rayman 1, but this looks cool too, and they still shout 'Help me!' to let you know there whereabouts, so it shouldn't be too hard. A bit like in R1GBC then I guess, where the cages were hidden in the levels, but the music changed to let you know where they were (this was always useful )

*At the same time, I am secretly dissapointed that Rayman's back to saving Teensies again as opposed to Electoons. I know this is probably wrong of me, but hey, check out my username ! It does look like Legends is giving out a lot less Rayman 1 love though from what I've seen this far, the same impression I got given from the leaked trailer/pictures

*I like the animation of Rayman flying from a back view whenever he changes screen. It really gives some nice depth to the game!

*I've got to admit - I'm really digging the epic loud rock music, electric guitar remix of Land of the Living Dead. I couldn't resist sound capturing it for keeps

*I will also admit that the first time Rayman and Globox fell through the epic fire ring tunnel while changing screen, I said 'Whoa, that is cool!" out loud

Well, I think that's about it for now. If I can think of anything else I missed above, I'll be sure to post again, but I guess if it's a Wii U exclusive I'll just be following rather then joining in . Like I said, we'll just have to wait and see...

If i could, i would transform into a giant monster, then i would broke the wall of the building where the Ubi E3 conference is, then i would shout BOOOOOOO! so everyones ears broke, and then i would stomp Toby Turner.

Okay i know i sound too rough again, but im just very disappointed.

Well i guess its just better to forget the whole RL thing and just keep playing the good old timeless Rayman games and continue life normally. and wait till next E3 in 2013. Im not gonna get a Wii U and thats for sure.

So far they haven’t shown us anything from R1, R2 or R3, but a lot of RO stuff seems to have been included.

Any thoughts on the enemies – Livingstone pirates? I love the big spindly-legged monsters in the background – those are brilliant.

Yes, so far there doesn't seem to be any direct references to the first three games that are plain to the eye, although the game's aesthetic and the whole Teensie saving thing is giving me a 2/3 vibe, which might be what they are going for.

Yeah, it seems like they're taking enemies and fitting them into the legend-y theme of the game. I had a feeling that they'd be doing this with the characters

I'd say 'not particularly', but then that would sound a little callous , particularly as there are many who I know are dying to see the characters again (considering they haven't really had a proper appearance since Rayman 2, not counting hand held games and cameos). I've just never really cared much for them personally, but I won't let my own opinion get in the way. I will admit, it would be quite interesting seeing them drawn in an Origins/Legends style.

I somewhat doubt it though, although I'm not sure why. I foresee the cast being quite similar to Legends, with perhaps some of the Rayman 1 cast removed again (:roll:) and some new additions. Don't quote me on this though, I may be yet proved wrong!

Ly is overdue for a return, and Clark would suit the style of this game very well, but I’m more interested in Mr Dark and Jano.

I could actually see Clark fitting in with the Legends style very well, especially with the shaded look they're going for

How many times i have to say i dont hate 2D (of course i prefer Rayman in 3D, but that doesnt mean i hate 2D). I hate console exclusiveness. Rayman Legends looked great and thats why its shame that PC and other console players will be not able to experience it.

I think they've done a fine job with dulling it down a bit. The colours in Origins were so sharp and bright it made my eyes bleed the liquid of shame. Legends looks dark and mysterious like Rayman 2.

@Electoon haha bet you were chuffed the electoons came back in origins I think its great how Ancel brought back alot of the characters/ subtle themes from the original games, and personally since ive played rayman 2 many, many times Clark grew on me alot and I just love that guy! I have always wanted to see Ly and Betilla together ever since I was like 5 so if that ever happened my inner child could rest in peace

You can say that again. That game looks nothing short of utter dazzling dark beauty.

I'm mainly looking forward to Far Cry 3, AC:III, Legends and Watch Dogs. All purchases for me.

Yes, I really was. I thought the Electoons were long forgotten and that they were doomed to never return, along with the rest of the Rayman 1 cast. So I have to admit when Origins was revealed as what it is (E.G. beyond the 2010 trailer), I was pleasantly surprised. I was I then I started properly following the game with interest (instead of poking fun at it ), and started liking it for reasons beyond it's cast...

I remember once thinking 'What if Rayman 1 and 2 characters met each other?" when I was little (probably 6). Me and my brother tried to come up with a story involving Razorbeard and Mr. Dark teaming up, resulting in this happening, but we didn't know where to go with it and stopped, probably because we were both quickly losing interest in Rayman 2 and it's lousy PS1 port
