Ubi said they want it to run well on all devices, but some devices can't even install it.Shrooblord wrote:Optimisation's got to do with how well the game runs during play; it has nothing to do with how well it installs or downloads.Rayrobi wrote:So it got released, i just don't know WHAT THE FUCK did ubisoft do within this week? i'm sure it wasn't optimization.

Re: Rayman Origins
At the end of the day, no matter how hard Ubi tries, there will be those who are disappointed, the huge variety of Android devices do pose a bit of a problem when coming to app support.
Also of interest, the trailer does not mention tablets, perhaps Ubi are making a "HD" release for Android tablet devices.

Re: Rayman Origins
I don't see the point of an 'HD' release, UbiART already scales.

Technically yes, practically no because of the various types of mess hidden from you in Android.

Re: Rayman Origins
I've bought Jungle Run one hour ago, and I've already complete the ten levels of the first world.
This game is awesome. Pretty graphics and video quality (you'd think you play on a console with your tablet), cool music of Rayman Origns and a lot of challenges (the first level of the Land of the Livid Dead is already a nightmare
)
If you have an Android tablet, buy this game, you will not regret it.

Re: Rayman Origins
Since i cant purchase it because it's incompatible i tried to download he app and the sd card data, and it IS WORKING! IT IS SO FUCKING AWESOME GAME!
Re: Rayman Origins
So I downloaded the data of the Android version of the game as well on my PC, and decompiled it. I now have the source code of Rayman Jungle Run and I would be able to make it run on PC if I had the time to get port all the Android-specific stuff to PC stuff - but it's just not worth it. That would change if Rayman Legends is ever released on Android...
You can easily get the textures from downloading the SD card data - I'll post the images here tomorrow in any case.

Re: Rayman Origins
Can you upload Jungle Run so some of us non-android users can look at it?
Re: Rayman Origins
I know this is kinda off-topic, but today I tried out a Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 tablet. I can imagine RJR on it...

That's not even remotely close to what I was suggesting. That was not what you wanted.Rayman502 wrote:That is I want. Can someone also upload Jungle Run for a iPhone simulator?RayFan9876 wrote:Can you upload Jungle Run so some of us non-android users can look at it?
Re: Rayman Origins
It's not playable on PC (not unless I port the Android-specific Java code to PC-specific Java code, which would take months) but I'll upload the data later today. It's unencrypted - you can directly access the images, sounds, etc.RayFan9876 wrote:Can you upload Jungle Run so some of us non-android users can look at it?
Strangely enough, the Android version features more music than the iPhone version, including a completely new (and lesser) version of "Chasing a Dream" alongside the old version - I'll post the new version on RayTunes as soon as I can.
I'll post the source code along with the data too.
No, iPhone simulators only "simuate" the iPhone, they don't "emulate" it. You would need to port the whole thing to Flash for it to work. That's simply not possible.Rayman502 wrote:Can someone also upload Jungle Run for a iPhone simulator?

Re: Rayman Origins
For some odd reason the touch is being extremely non-sensitive, and the game is nigh-unplayable because of it.
I'm assuming I'm the only one with this problem.
EDIT: After doing a little bit of experimenting, I have discovered it's the same problem that I have with Angry Birds, where the touch is wacky and I need to touch another spot individually to get touch commands through.

Anyway, does anyone know what are the achievements for the game? Because i can't see the achievements menu in the android version, but i see them achievements popping up.
Re: Rayman Origins
Nice, Rayrobi!
The screenshots can be quite useful for Raywiki.
