Nice, then she'd have pain in her knuckles to keep her back company.

I would gladly sacrifice my knuckles for my back
Re: Pluses (+) and minuses (−) of this day.
And unfortunately there is no other way of crushing ice, so knuckles bye bye

Funny, I know in Sonic 3, there's some ice obstacles that only Knuckles can break.

And then you'd have pain in three places. What are you, some kind of masochist?

Step 1: Buy a Fruit BasketJewish Candy wrote:I would gladly sacrifice my knuckles for my back
Step 2: Gently Apply Basket to your back
Step 3: Remove Splinters
Step 4: Enjoy your painless back!
It really works, it's like acupuncture!

And how exactly does that involve sacrifice of knuckles?

Re: Pluses (+) and minuses (−) of this day.
I've been thinking about this. As a matter of fact, in Dutch we would sayAdsolution wrote:Ah, Germanicasation.Shrooblord wrote:sweetstuffs.
"Ik heb niks zoets in huis" or "I heb geen zoete dingen in huis"
which are separate words, as you can tell. I'm assuming German does the same as both languages pretty much act the same way when conjoining multiple words into one - one of my favourite ones is the translation for 'the worst of the writers' which becomes 'slechtstschrijvende' (so, out of all of those authors, the one that wrote in the worst way is the slechtstschrijvende). It's a ridiculous word with those 9 consonants following up each other and it's pretty hard to pronounce correctly too.
I made up 'sweetstuffs' from the English word 'foodstuffs'. This is one of the few cases where it's not a Germanicasation, I believe.

I wonder how well the pronunciation comes across.

The first is a lot like English, the second has that pesky geen
(I know how to pronounce it but it's not English dammit)

Oops I said "I heb" instead of 'Ik heb'. Damn you bilinguality.
'Geen' is easy enough to pronounce. If you know the Scottish 'ACH', you can emulate a Dutch G pretty easily. 'ee' is just pronounced as 'ay' (like gray) and the 'n' is... well it's an n. What can you say about it.

I was talking more about the way geen has no English analogue
You know I really should go ahead and learn some properly. I have my grandpa after all...
EDIT: And a whole load of Dutch speakers on this very forum too. I'm spoilt for choice really.

Re: Pluses (+) and minuses (−) of this day.
'Geen' translates to 'no' or 'none'.
Ik heb geen idee.
I have no clue.
Geen persoon die het weet.
Not a person (around) who knows.

It's like kein in German, right?Shrooblord wrote:'Geen' translates to 'no' or 'none'.
