It seems to be true, I wouldn't risk it anyway until the thing dies out or you see someone give the all clear.

No such luck for me , I'll probably have to wait some time before I can get a 3DS, let alone Pokemon X and Y, I'll probably end up getting the usual third version or sequel of X and Y as my first Gen VI game, if things are how they are.

It is funny how I was convinced that a Grey version would appear and it never happened, had to buy White anyway.

Yeah, Gen V did break a few norms, though it's cool that they decided to create more of a sequel as opposed to something, which to all intents and purposes, is more of an expansion pack than individual game.
