Nah, just a gameplay decision for whatever reason. The N64 version also combines the Prison Ship and Crow's Nest levels into one.

Except if you go to the Hall of Doors in the middle of Crow's Nest

I'm sure if you punch that "reset" button you can keep the lums, at least that's how Majora's Mask and Fierce Deity Link work.

Well I was already considering upgrading to an XL for Smash, but now I really have a reason too.
I wouldn't even be THAT tempted if it weren't for Rosalina being on it. This is probably the only time I'll see her mug officially plastered on something in my region, besides the actual box art for the 3DS game.
Oh yeah, forgot to mention that this is currently a Europe only thing, nothing confirmed for other regions yet. And if you pre-order either the standalone game or the special XL bundle from the Official Nintendo UK Store, you get a free wristband and t-shirt with the Smash Ball logo on it.

Ooh, I like that 3DS XL.
I just hope the game is well playable in an original 3DS. I just fear if the small screen will be constraining to the gameplay.

If anyone wants to get an early look at Hyrule Warriors, Derrick of GameXplain is currently streaming the Japanese version:
I'd imagine the only nurfing will be in his speed, if anything.

Meta Knight doesn't really need too much nerfing, everyone else just needs buffs. Sakurai has already mentioned in a Miiverse post that making everyone feel strong is his philosophy with balance, this time around.

Maybe stupid annoying tumblr feminazis, I'd see them getting pretty pissed about it.
Anyways, a long time ago I talked about how Nintendo avoiding third party was a bad thing, and this video perfectly sums up what I was trying to say, it's a really interesting video:
