As much as < loves his Wii U (and actually has been <'s favorite console this gen so far) < doesn't feel much loss in it leaving production.
The wii U gen for < was very hit or miss. While we got a LOT of great games out of it, the system lacked third party support and in turn that hurt Nintendo severely.
< hopes the next console will be more third party friendly for developers and that Nintendo can gain back some of it's hardcore fans from the N64/GC era.
