if i had to list a few tropes in this kind of music that annoy me (like a lot of more niche genres) they'd be


1) extreme repetition with too little evolution (which i don't mind so much, but if i took a shot at the genre i'd generally try and have it move somewhere)

2) echoey whispery electronic female vocals at some point in the track. really unoriginal and forced idea that kind of sucks you out of the usually surprisingly cool musical idea they have going on and makes the whole thing feel a lot less mature --- now there are some contexts in the genre where i think that works really well, but 80% of the time it's unnecessary

Still waiting on my copy, but the soundtrack is nice to pass the time with.
