Hmm, I see, I am assuming you mean stylus by "pencil"

Interestingly enough, I say the same. I'm looking forward to what I create with e tablet as well, I feel like a game dev (excuse the partial irony again)!

But you spilled coffee on your bigger one while working on my request didn't you? That's very unfortunate, and it probably annoyed you even more because you were working off of a detailed request (which could have made you more annoyed from the start).

Actually, that was my newer small size. XD But now it works again, it just needed to dry a bit.

Aw, don't be. It was really my fault that I put the mug on a bad place. XD

But yes, these tablets are tough. As long as you don't smash it (or spill liquid) on a daily basis, it will last with you for a good 5 years, if not longer.

I had a Medium Wacom Bamboo Fun (Gen. 1) before, but it died this Summer. I bought a Large Wacom Intuos4 and the thing is so so awesome. X3

Did you get bonus software? I believe you got ArtRage2 then.

I got Artrage and PS Elements 6 with my first tablet, but I use neither. I prefer the normal Photoshop.

I use my tablet (I have Wacom Bamboo), but I'm still very fond of using my mouse for digital art too. So usually I use a combo of both. I don't get to draw much anymore lately though.

Welcome Kurui, do you know deviantART?

I used to go on there but it absolutely hates me now. It makes my browsers crash lots and sometimes logs me out for no reason. Its never really liked me to begin with anyhow >_>. So eventually I gave up trying to stay on there.

Odd, I haven't had any problems with it. What browser do you use?

I use firefox. But i don't know what the problem is with it. Firefox is usually good for me on other sites. Just that one (and now YouTube) seems pretty screwy......

I have the exact same problem! One time I got logged out of everything on FireFox, and then I couldn't log on to DeviantART, YouTube, Gmail and Facebook. So for a while I used FF for all my forums (RPC, CryDev etc) and I used Chrome for YouTube, DeviantART and Facebook, however Gmail didn't work. I then tried Gmail on my laptop and it did work. Now a few months later about a month ago) suddenly everything except Facebook works in FireFox.

Try logging in again now, it might work.

Also my tablet came with Corel Painter X.

Funny. I never had this problem. But try Chrome. It's a nice browser. It hasn't gotten any problems yet for me and it has a dity interface.

At the time it came with ArtRage 2. My Intuos4 came now with Corel Painter Sketch Pad plus Corel Painter 11 (I bought a pack so...).

But yeah, I might try DA again sometime. I guarantee it wont let me log into my old accounts though. Its like it changes my password on me or it errors if I try to log into them before when I tried over a year ago now. I must have cycled through 3 or 4 accounts in the past 5-ish years because of that thing. And now I can't even remember my old usernames anyway. ^^;

As for programs, I use photoshop. Ugaki-san uses something called Paint tool SAI and I reaaaaalllllly want to try it. I heard its better with the strokes and pen pressure and cleaner crisper line art. But i don't think even a program can save mine. I mainly have bad impatience with art. i tend to rush it after I sketch, because the sketching is the only part I like most. And then I start dreading it when I get to the colour part. XD So my lines look like "oh gods, I know the colouring is coming next, oh noes *scribble*'.

I'm learning to take my time though. Little by little. I think I once spend near 2 hours colouring/drawing before on one piece which is a record~ <3 for me. Silly me took on drawing background maps for the game I make (I'd like never drew a background in my life properly).


This was my attempt but it was very quick. The guy said he wanted a "storybook"like background, so I drew out some objects and shapes and used a filter sharpener, but then what happened was it became too sharp in some areas and too less in others, and perfect on some. So that means *sigh* on my final maps I have to use a sharpen tool and gradually sharpen each piece to the correct sharpness to make sure it fits better. (Tedious.....and remember, I'm impatient XD ).

Yay for you if you don't tl;dr. My posts are like mini-novels sometimes.......
