< would really like to still go the DIY route as < has been for the speakers. Such as the Volt-6 coaxials, but that option may not be very well feasible in <'s current room due to ceiling restrictions.

However, < has been looking into Kef's speaker offerings, such as the HTC3001SE center channel. Basically a 4.5" coaxial driver with dual 3" low frequency drivers to help with the lower frequency extension compared to the HTS3001SE satellites they offer. Which is just the coaxial driver alone. Only 2dB difference in sensitivity, but < feels that's pretty critical for the sake of the extra headroom.

Either will wall/ceiling mount just fine.
