Yeah it is the case – also, < believes the PS2 draws about 45 Watts
EDIT: Actually it draws 79 watts

< does have two fat models and two slim models. One slim is the later model with the built in PSU.

Both <'s slims are a bit of trouble for reading certain game discs. < found the fat models to do a much better job. At least with a good laser. < did replace a laser on one.
