Dwarf tree.

Rayman was first designed in 1992...Don't think Ancel took any inspiration from that. And we can't know how old he is or what age group he could possibly be in because he's the only one of his kind. Age groups do vary from species, after all. The only guess you can take is when you compare him to a human, and he isn't human.

And the Guitarist, and his wife, and his son, and the Magician...

It's not the guitarist, it's the musician
I don't know where you get this dwarf theory, but it is incorrect. Rayman has a normal size. For example, when you eat a mushroom in Rayman Revolution, Rayman shrinks. to dwarf size. And in Rayman 1 he is still a child. Tree's are most of the time bigger then us ( Well, except for bonzai tree's ^^ ) so that isn't a argument too.

Are you serious? Haven't we already stated many reasons why he isn't?

I could be wrong, but doesn't he have a child's voice?

When Rayman says "No problem", that's definitely not a kid's voice. It's too deep to be that of a boy aged at most 10 [not to mention that it sounds SpongeBob SquarePants like oh lol]. Then there's the MS-DOS version which has those additional lines [they were pitched down because well, DOS audio is quite shite], where he sounds like a typical "cool" teen what with saying "Yo, Dude" and such.

But still, teens aren't as big as adults. And certainly not bigger than tree's

Dude.
Some teenagers, boys especially, can grow even taller than some adults depending on their genetic make up and such, I am not joking.

Not at all, as Stacey said. It's much more of an adult's voice.

Yeah, his voice is kinda deep. He still looks like a kid, though.

I never thought of Rayman's voice sounding anything like a child, and I've heard his voice in Rayman 1, 2, 3, and RRR 1.

My cousin is like... a year younger than me, and he's pretty tall. Taller than me and even taller than his mom.
