Then, I realise, it's because, for all the insanity, the members are quite cool.
Right then, 95 posts more, and my six month ambition to ascend to a guardian is complete.

Oh, hello! I didn't know that existed. Now that's why there's a 'Reason' field... interesting.
Why is this list public and not personal? xD

Argh, I had gotten so used to you having the Skops avatar. This is going to throw me for a loop every time you post now.

Re: Rayman Origins
'Tis the never ending climb to the esteemed Origins rank, though whether or not I'll make it there, remains to be seen.
However, I've had many a good discussion, and I genuinely do like it here, even with all the zaniness.

Judging by the cover boxart of Rayman 2, zany is the excellence of all true Raymanic nature!
Re: Rayman Origins
Why broken? I can modify the number of Tings of anybody without changing the number I have. And who said it was me giving that rank to you?

Re: Rayman Origins
Something I just realized after playing Power Stone 2 is that there is a French chef character in that game called Gourmand whose special attack is turning into a dragon and breathing fire. In Rayman Origins, there is a world called Gourmand Land which has Dragon Chefs that breathe fire. Hmm...
Re: Rayman Origins
Well, Origins had a good lot of references to other games, it's entirely likely it wasn't a coincidence.

You can see it at various points in this video, first time at 1:03: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xfX55Mio ... 8&index=11
Yep, it most definitely seems like the Dragon Chefs are a Power Stone 2 reference.

Re: Rayman Origins
When RO was planned to be a prequel, Ubisoft intended to do references to other iconic video games.
Like this one, but sadly it was ultimately scrapped:

Re: Rayman Origins
I am so upset they scrapped that. It would have been perfect.
Re: Rayman Origins
Many got upset, because the Tetris remix was pretty cool.
Re: Rayman Origins
I'm not upset, but it would have been nice.

Re: Rayman Origins
What disappointed me was the lack of interactive humor like this. Unexpected things that simply happen and make you laugh. The random Tetris cameo was pure genius, and I wanted to see more jokes like that... but even the Tetris joke didn't make it into the game.

Re: Rayman Origins
I wonder whether it was legal reasons which made them scrap this particular reference, the owners of Tetris IP are insanely "protective" of their rights. I guess that something like this happened to many of those references if they weren't scrapped early; this left the other ones out of place and so they were removed.

Re: Rayman Origins
Actually there are still some references, but they're not that clear. There's a Pac-man reference in the Sea of Serendipity, an Angry Birds reference in Jibberish Jungle and a Breakout reference in Luscious Lakes.
