Uh... I just got the game for PC, but when I tried to open it, it kept saying "Sound driver failed to initialize. Check readme.txt for more information.", and I couldn't find a solution to it. Does anyone know how to fix this problem?

Are your sound drivers up to date? What have you tried?

I'm running a Windows 7 computer with 2GB ram... The sound driver's a Realtek, and its driver's at version 6.0.01.6003.
I don't know anything about stuff like this... So I just tried to search for a solution online... But didn't find anything.

Maybe you need to update the drivers of your hardware.
Is your graphic card an NVIDIA or an ATI? If you aren't sure you can always do this:
1 - Go to the Active Desktop
2 - Right click on "Computer" and left click in "Proprieties"
3 - In the left bar, click in the second link (counting from up), I think its named in English something like "Gestion of Devices"
4 - Open the "Graphic Card" branch
5 - There you go, you have the name. Google this name and follow the instructions of the manufacturer to proceed to the driver update.
If I were you I would also download the latest DirectX update just to ensure it would work.

He said he was having trouble with the audio driver, not the graphics driver.
However, making sure DirectX is up to date is certainly important, since audio runs off that as well.
Try downloading the latest Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable Package.

I know, Ad, but it gave me the feeling he thought the problem was from the sound card and not the graphics one.

Hello everyone. I'm back again...

Erm, this is the main topic for RO feel free to talk about RO related things here, likewise, feel free to discuss the other games in their main topics.

Found a cool video: Some people made a "alternative" cover of the first track from the Soundtrack-CD (I'm unsure how the song is named).

edit: Hmm what is this...scrapped advertising material? Features a lot of beta stuff...did you notice that the song at the end is a bit different?

....well the stuff is still online

Here are the links to live-working-demos:

Also Found some nice pictures of Ancel and co (video shooting) but sady not the video.

Hmm... I was discussing with some friends... shall the Dragon Chef's boss battle be considered memorable? like... for the Rayman series in general?
(drawing by my friend happydoodle) (yes, this time she's a girl)
I think it is. He seems to not only have a creative way to be defeated (with heartburns) but also he's the only boss that actually requires skill and quick reflexes to be defeated (I can't avoid being hit at least once during his battle), unlike the others who only require you to skip and attack in an obvious pattern (Except for Murray but his battle kinda sucks). Also... the music is great... that manly "Lalala" is still stuck in my head. Maybe he didn't reach the level of awesomeness of Reflux... but come on, this boss battle was so awesome even Michel Ancel appeared in a trailer about it.
What are your thoughts about the Dragon Chef, people?

He is the only adult dragon in the game, and is big enough to be his own planet before he is defeated and turned back to normal. After that, he is even smaller than the Baby dragons. I prefer the Baby Dragon Waiters over the Chefs, though. Gotta love those tuxedos and ice skates.

The Dragon Chef's theme sounds like Eduard Khil, the Trololo guy, gone evil.

For me the Dragon Chef is without any questions the best boss of the game.

Agreed, this boss is probably the best of the bunch, music-wise, and gameplay-wise.
The music is pretty decent, and the way it builds up as you hurt the Dragon is a nice touch, and it is rather cool running 'round the belly of the beast.

One thing: I loved the boss, but the intro of his level was just lackluster in my opinion.

The way you were originally going to fight him was a bit different than it is now. Rather than him just sucking you in right away when you reach him and starting the part of the level inside him, you were originally going to fight him on foot at first and had to bounce off his belly and into his nose to get inside him, and the part where you are inside of him was going to be bigger.

And had one of those old generators for a heart with the familiar bandage-patches from R2 on it to indicate it was supposed to be destroyed.
