I doubt it, considering the whole Fee de La Mort thing (or was it never a big issue?)
I think Fee de La Mort simply means Death Fairy (which explains all that weird stuff when I google it) in French, which means... Hey, they cheaped out. Again.

EDIT: Also, thanks Haruka and... uh... whoever else it was, installing DirectX fixed it, and played the heck out of it.

Fée de la Mort I believe was in he leaked Rayman Origins script, and her name was visible within the game's files, so there wasn't any ambiguity there.

...Unless you're talking about some other issue.

Fee de La Mort really just means Death Fairy as far as I know - just a term used to identify her as (considering she is... well, a death fairy), and all that, I think. If a name was given, I'd expect a bit more puns done on Ubisoft's end. Dunno really, considering it's officially used, might as well consider it official... but I'm... kinda disappointed with the name.

I decided to photograph the artbook of Rayman Origins and upload the images. Enjoy:

Yeah I know. It's just... like Pokemon and Pokémon. As long as you don't represent Nintendo, you have a choice to use the former and most people won't kill you for it.

...Right?

EDIT: Also, capitalization

Well, E is pronounced differently than É, so it does actually make an aesthetical difference. On the other hand, it's not always convenient to type accents if your keyboard doesn't natively support it. I found out you can add an acute accent to vowles by pressing rightALT+vowel. éíóéíúóáá

^ while for me it makes an ę, but I can get é by pressing ALT + 130 on the numericle (hehe)

Alt + E makes my browser's Edit menu pop up. I also use numpad for a lot of things like é, © and ™.

Are you using the right-hand ALT button? The left one doesn't work.

Yep. The one that on other keyboards says "Alt Gr" just says "Alt" on mine too - and it has the exact same function.

Try setting your keyboard layout to US International - then it should treat the right-hand Alt key as AltGr.

If that doesn't work, try pressing Ctrl + Alt rather than just Alt.

Finished the new levels of Rayman Jungle Run. It was nice. The only thing that caught my eye was the Teensies statue that does not appear in RO.

I was wondering, is anyone else unhappy with the way they started using Lums as unlimited collectibles int his game? I mean, there were only 1000 yellow Lums and now there are 22296 or so... Plus, I didn't like how they used red Lums. I think for that purpose they should have brought back Tings instead and save Lums for more important things.

For fuck's sake, no one ever said there's only 1000 Yellow Lums, it's just that the Heart of the fucking World got divided into a 1000 of those, and they probably aren't even related to the ones in Origins.

To my knowledge, there's nothing saying that the Lums in RO are the same ones from Rayman 2, we know each lum represents different things, the ones from R2 strike me as the representation of knowledge and order, while the ones in RO represent energy in general.

I believe in the same thing. There are no sources that say that both are the same kind of Lum. It could happen that it is possible to exist yellow Lums in the wild but just in form of a different kind of energy when compared to R2 Red Lums.

Thinking about it, maybe there IS a reason for RO Lums looking totally different and wilder. I had always seen it as a simple redesign.

Just to point out, the 4 original types of Lums were there before Polokus was created.
One day, the Lums focused themselves into thought, and their consciousness brought to life a strange and marvellous creature, Polokus. His power is such that his smallest dream or desire becomes reality.
Apparently, many types of creatures were alive before the existance of Polokus, which explains why some creatures don't bubblize but just die:
Blue Lums contain the first breath. They are the origin of all life. Each creature receives at birth his Blue Lums and keeps them until the day they die.

But this is pretty interesting, take a look!
Polokus decided to use his powers to bring people to the world. He began with the magical beings, and dreamed up the fairies. They are his emissaries. After the first 4 Lums, they made the Silver Lums which give you your special powers.
There's the possibility that the fairies had times to increase the number of Lums, or even create a new species. What if the Lums in RO are the sixth type of Lum? With their happiness and energy, they provide illumination to the Glade. They not only come in yellow, they can change their colour to red, or even purple.

Today I took the time to check the Knowledge of the World, nothing is contradicted, just difficult to explain.

A theory I've had is that the different lums represent different mystical energies, yellow for order, red for wellbeing, green for time, blue for living, purple for existence, and RO's for "battery" energy.
