Smash DLC is probably coming to its end, after the ballot I imagine it'll be only the occasional stage to accompany new Wii U titles. Like I've said, the ballot is quite literally a cheat sheet telling them what characters can help market the next Smash game, they'll probably turn the top three into DLC and save the rest of the top 10 voted for potential material in the future.

The ballot characters havn't even been revelaed yet though.
There's aparently one character coming this month (non-ballot).
and I am thinking we'll get at LEAST 3 more characters after that. (fighter pack 1 had 4 fighters so I they're definitely making a fighter pack 2)

if waluigi makes it in but rayman doesnt, should we still feel we were successful because he's pretty much the exact same character?

Next Nintendo Direct is this Thursday! Do you think they'll reveal the characters people suggested from the Smash Ballot?

They damn well better, I don't think I can wait for much longer!

I'm pretty happy with Cloud making it in. Though I know there's hardly any FF fans on this site. :p

I'm pretty hyped for it personally, although the only Final Fantasy I've ever beaten was the prequel to 7

We still don't know who the rest of the ballot members will be or if Cloud is officially a ballet winner in the first place.All we know is that we can expect an update come December.

I hate characters I don't know about. Especially if they're from games I've never played.

Cloud makes so much sense in Smash. After all, I spent many hours on cartridge 58 of FF7 on my N64.

Seriously, why the hate for Terra?

I think the hate needs to chill. He is not too bad at all. I am not huge FF fan but I see his inclusion very positive.

I don't understand the FF hate either. People here are just too impatient to enjoy any RPG that isn't Nintendo :p

It REALLY saddens me all the people who are upset by this direct. Nintendo was in desperate need for more RPG's. The platform's (3ds and wii u) were getting too spoiled with platformers and a lot of us were looking for something different. To see Dragon Quest 7 and 8 finally being localized here has me hyped.

Anyone else here also looking forward to Twilight Princess HD? I admit, I'm not super hyped, since the graphical style is basically the same thing.

Do you guys prefer amiibos over games or something?

I think it's awesome, personally, since FF7 is my favourite JRPG of all time. It just took me by surprise, as I never foresaw it happening due to FF7 never being released on a Nintendo platform. I wonder if Cloud's inclusion could be a prelude to the FF7 remake being released on the NX? That would be cool.

Well I prefer amiibos over RPGs.
I just find (turnbased) RPGs horribly boring clicking sims tbh.

I'm not exactly into the idea of Twilight Princess HD because I just replayed it on the GameCube. I'll grow on me.

As for Cloud, why not Terra? She appeared on the SNES and would be a very exciting character. But as we know, Square forgot that there are numbers before 7.
