Some North American member here really should grab the magazine when it goes out.

According to the Ubisoft facebook page it's only been handed over to subscribers at the moment so hopefully one of those could spill the beans.

What amazes me in the studio is how small it is. Small, almost unnoticeable, and yet coming out with such masterpieces.

The artworks are awesome! The game will be visually brilliant, that's for sure. :)

Good lord, that article is one of the most beautiful things I’ve seen in a very long time. I got quite a jolt when I spotted the exit sign, and I practically spazzed out when I got to the Band Land artwork... this is the Rayman game I have been dreaming about for what feels like many years. It’s extremely heartening to see the collage of R1, R2 and R3 artwork; you can tell that these people really respect the ‘source material’, as it were. (I also spotted a Purple Lum, some piranhas, a cage, a Super Helicopter potion and various plum ideations.) I really appreciate the fact that one of the Teensies is the Grand Minimus – the original King of the Teensies, before he lost his memories and became effectively merged with three others. The ‘Magician Teensie’ is an intriguing addition; I’d say he’s definitely based on the character from R1, though it’s a little odd to imagine the two of them co-existing within the same timeline; the same goes for the Darktoons and the Antitoons. If Rayman 1 gets a big-budget remake, I think these characters will be substituted for their R1 counterparts – in a way, they *are* them. There are some fascinating nuggets of information about the Montpellier studio and where the previous games were developed; the fact that ‘La Villa’ is a centuries-old building which was reappropriated for videogame development seems wonderfully appropriate for the Rayman series.

I haven't checked on this game in a long while, and suddenly this whole spasm of info released.

Man, Ubisoft is giving more than I could possibly hope for. This will double-correct the loss of Rayman 4 to the Rabbids back in 2005/2006. :D

Get used to it my friend. When I have a lot to say, I tend to say it.

Well, this doesn’t look quite as good to me as the 3D ‘Rayman 4’ platformer featuring Rayman 1 locations which we glimpsed in the Guillaume Bonamy artwork... but in truth I think Rayman Origins looks a lot better than the ‘Rayman 4: Raving Rabbids’ Wii game for which we saw a gameplay trailer some years ago (you know, the one with the Pulp Fiction music). In spite of the superficial slapstick on display in last year’s Rayman Origins trailer... the game looks very much like a return to the excellent and very-nearly-forgotten roots of the series; moreso than that version of Rayman 4 would likely have been...

You’ll be able to buy it on a disc this Christmas. There will be no downloadable version.

Someone scanned the AC: Revelations article from the same magazine. The Rayman Origins scans can't be too far now...

I thought the Rayman 1 based concept arts from 'Guillaume Bonamy' for Rayman 4 were partly used in the GBA version of the game, which was a platformer. Other than that, Rayman Origins seems to have lots of Rayman 1 influences as well, Band Land FTW!

I really cannot wait to know more about the game. Reading this article and watching new pictures made my day shinier. This will be so promissing, my god: for 8 years that I'm waiting for a new Rayman game like this. X3

Quite awesome isn't it? I was really missing the Exit Sign, and I was wishing to see "remastered" Rayman 1 worlds again. It seems it is what is going to happen.

I can't wait to know if there is going to appear the Picture City and the Caves of Skops.

Holyshitholyshitholyshit.

We finally get some news and damn.

First of all: Playable Teensies. Yes. Second: R1 throwbacks. Very, very appreciated. Third: Betilla. Although I'd prefer Ly, just because she's become standard since R3 GBA, this is also great. I'm also happy about the full disc format, even though I no longer minded its episodic downloadability.

Let's see, anything else...oh, Band Land! My favorite world from the first game! Yes, yes, that deserves a mention. For a long-dormant series to come back with this much force is inspiring.

It also makes me happy to see they reunited R1, R2 and R3 concept arts and artworks into a board. This not only means they aren't forgetting about the main games of the series, but they are mixing caracteristics from each one to RO. Like this everyone gets happy: Rayman 1 fans get happy, Rayman 2 fans get happy and Rayman 3 fans get happy. In the moment they confirm it will go for PC/Wii/3DS I'll start to save up money.

The news just keeps coming. :P Ign just confirmed that there are easter eggs for fans. Also Rayma, Globox and the Teensies are upgradeable and there will be in-game currency that will help achieve that end. Rayman Origins will also support four-player local multiplayer, which encourages both cooperation and competition. There's no word yet on if Rayman Origins will support any sort of online multiplayer.
