Ah, an old design of the YouTube play bar, how I miss them.
Remember when the Nyan Cat video replaced the bar with the rainbow, and the seeker with the Nya Cat itself?

I remember when YouTube made this great, modern design and then made it fucking horrible and introduced One Channel.

Personally, I preferred the BETA channel design, I wasn't around long enough to see the original, but Cosmic Panda felt monotonous, and One Channel, sterile.

The original design was great. I enjoyed customizing it a lot. Beta however still offered 90% as much customisation and eventually introduced some awesome features so I'm not sure why everyone hated it so much (I also liked that at the time you had the ability to switch between the two designs for quite a long time. If only One Channel had that). Cosmic Panda, despite taking out a lot of those features, at least did look very up-to-date and was easy to navigate. One Channel is just a bland mess. But what I meant was that the site, outside of the channels, actually looked really good when Cosmic was first added. It all looked very smooth and organised while now the site looks like they just gave up halfway into the process of a new design. For a while I thought my screen was zoomed out on the homepage.

Agreed there, though I still think the Cosmic Panda homepage was a little clunky compared to the homepage that preceded it, having one video per line regardless of subscribed channels having made multiple uploads was hardly wise, compared to the old style, which had each new video grouped under its uploader.
