No matter how many times I watch it, I still laugh

Hm, guess we're different in that aspect, charming as it may be, I can't say I find all that funny.

Nor do I, it's nothing we haven't seen in a billion other light-hearted, non-verbal cartoons. The rhythmic snoring was an amusing idea, but I can't say that anything else about the intro was as remotely creative.

Looking back at the original E3 2010 trailer it just makes the direction they ended up going with this game sad. Why the fuck did they scrap all this good stuff anyway?

The E3 2010 trailer looked really better than final game. Perhaps Ubisoft could apply some original Origins ideas into next game.

If there were to be a third installment I have my doubts over them suddenly making that one a story filled, epic tale.

Sadly you are most likely right. I want epic story in Rayman again :|

Though the writing on the wall does seem to state otherwise...
Ehh, I want BG&E2 more than Origins 3, in honesty.

There's something about the granny grabbing her husband's head and throwing it at Rayman that made me laugh really hard. It was so brilliant and effective, at least for me.

That was my favourite part of opening too.

Say what you will about the Rayman Origins opening, but it's a masterpiece. Demonstrates the 12 principles of animation to great effect. It's going to be my primary source of reference in certain projects for my animation module.

Also, sleep beat-boxing.

It's a fine opening I guess, but really? Something tells me you've never truly laid eyes on a masterpiece of animation. Following the twelve basic principals are virtually common sense, but aside from some goofiness, it doesn't go much beyond that.

All the intro did was confuse me because throughout all of Jibberish Jungle I was expecting to see the Livid Dead. And don't any of you go saying that it's to "trick you into believing their the final boss" because that's just as much bullshit and saying the scrapped content makes up for the lack of story.

OK, let me rephrase that - it's a masterpiece in silly, comical animation.

Because I know people normally associate masterpiece with "IT MAKES ME FEEL A WHIRLWIND OF EMOTIONS AND IT'S BOOTIFUL AND IT'S SO DETAILED AND OMIGOSH".

I didn't say it was so good because it has the principles of animation in place, but because they are executed SO well.

I share same thoughts as Sonic for the RO opening. Masterpiece indeed in its own simple way.
I still go on YouTube and watch it at least once a week.
