The whole Rayman being the only one fluctuates, Origins was one of those on the side that Rayman's species came from unique circumstances, chalking up Rayman's lack of limbs to the events of his birth. The only other canon limbless being in Origins was DarkRay, GlobRay was said to be normal Ray wearing Globox's colours.

But DarkRay was Rayman's evil clone Mr. Dark created. His limblessness is the result of Rayman's own limblessness. Not trying to correct anyone. Just adding to that point.

I seriously love the Magician in his current form. He's a devious, traitorous little bastard. As Master said, the execution is the major flaw. Reading back into the beta script of Origins, you can read of all the dialogue of the Magician which really does help. I seriously wished they would have expanded on this and maybe, just maybe, we could have gotten a better villain out of the Magician.

I imagine Globox not having legs is a design choice for the wackiness in Rayman Origins/Legends and personally I think Electoons don't really count considering they sort of "make up" Rayman (he explodes into them when he dies in Rayman 1). As for stone men, I wouldn't say they're living, rather just a pile of rocks held together by some magic or something of the sorts.

Globox never had legs in any game he appeared in.
Also Griskins are limbless, but whether or not that's due to their ghostliness is up for debate.

Fair enough, but I guess that's just legless not completely limbless.

Be that as it may, Rayman's lack of limbs extends to all his appendages, not one mere part.

Despite all of this, he will always have a special place in my heart for having the single best getaway plan in anything ever.

I'll admit the dance scene does bring a smile to my face. Perhaps it could've still worked even with a more meatier betrayal, given RO's generally more wackier demeanour too, seeing as that was always a thing from the get-go.

More like I must've missed what you said, my bad.

I used to go one for ages about this kinda thing but honestly, I've either lost the energy for it or given up.

Also, remember that time when I (Or at least I think it was me) joked that all the 'new playable characters' would be recolours of the character (Barbara) shown in the trailer? Don't get me wrong, Legends looks great, but I just think it's funny how that turned out.

I do believe I remember you saying that actually xD

Don't care what anyone thinks but the Princesses gotta be the best thing to happen to Legends and I hope they be in future games.

And not only that, he almost managed to overthrow a GOD. You have to give him some serious credit there.

How dare you... Globox lost his legs when trying to fend off the pirates from capturing his family and YOU BRING IT UP LIKE YESTERDAY'S NEWSPAPER! you should be ashamed.

Overthrow a GOOD? Heh heh heh.
Meh, come to think of it actually, some of the Fakirs had legs, didn't they, while others didn't?

Globox's legs were stolen by (and shared among) the Band Land monks. That's why they're the only people in the Valley with legs.

Does anyone think that next Rayman game might be fully 2.5D, using model that Ubisoft sent Sakurai for Smash?

Nah, one model does not an entire game make, for all we know, Ubi was merely very keen for Rayman to be in Smash. As it stands, I'm not really sure, it seems the UbiArt saga has been given a rest this year, whether or not it will return now that it's been expanded beyond the scope of Montpellier, remains to be seen. Though as I've stated in the past, I'd rather see Beyond Good and Evil 2 as opposed to a new Rayman from Montpellier at this point.

I know this is a trophy but, are you thinking in the same thing as me? We'll find out this in a few hours but if it is what I'm thinking, I'll give a jump out of my chair.
