Oh yeah, another headcanon I had was that Space Mama was a fairy who pursued a career in the performing arts, rather that that elegant upper-class work fairies like Betilla tend to get involved in.

New headcanon incoming!
The Robo-Pirates from Rayman 2 supposedly fled the Glade after their defeat. However, you may be wondering why a few appeared in Rayman M and all that lot. Well, I think that Rayman still wanted them to be given a bit more beat-up as revenge for what they did during the events of Rayman 2. Thus, he went on a wild goose chase throughout the galaxy, trying to get back at them whilst his friends tried to stop him. After a long time, say... a few months before Rayman 3 happened, Rayman gave up and challenged everybody to a racing competition where the winner would kick everybody else's butt. After the competition was won and all (by Globox, surprisingly,) Rayman and Globox wandered away from the finish line to have a good rest, and stopped off before this small, rock face in a beautiful clearing. They were both so tired that they fell asleep, with Rayman's hands dropping off and going to find some good old teensies or something to scare. And we all know that the hands found a particularly unwary red lum named Andre, and we all know what happened then...

Re: Rayman Headcanons
Hm, an interesting way to tie Rayman M somehow into the canon, but personally, I'd rather they kept Razor's door open, the idea of Robot Pirates from Outer Space is something I really wish would be expanded on in the series, there's so much potential in that idea I think.
Re: Rayman Headcanons
I've had a little head-cannon in my head for a while. It's a bit messed up but I kinda find it funny. Barbara doesn't really have sisters, they're just different personalities she's made up for she wouldn't be alone for the past century.
Re: Rayman Headcanons
Interrsting theory. They all do look similar a lot.
Re: Rayman Headcanons
While this isn't entirely a headcanon of mine, it's the plot of a fanfiction I'm writing and could make an interesting headcanon for some.
Ales Mansay was no good at magic. He failed magic school and got several tutors, but they all gave up on him, in one final attempt, Ales travelled to the Valley to meet with a limbless referring to himself as 'the Magician'. The introduction went well, and the Magician tried to teach Ales magic. Ales was no more successful with the Magician as a tutor, but he found himself deeply interested in the Magician's stories, particularly those about Mr Dark. As time went on, the two became rather good friends. However, Ales found himself admiring the cunning 'Mr Dark' more and more, and the irresponsible Polokus less and less. Eventually, the Magician caught on and scolded Ales for his backwards sense of admiration, but soon forgave Ales. who claimed that this wasn't the case at all.
Ales knew then that the Magician still trusted him, but any wrong move now could have that trust killed and the word could spread that Ales was in fact an admirer of an infamous villain. In order to prevent this, Ales took advantage of the Magician's trust by poisoning his tea and making him fall very ill. To make matters worse, when Rayman heard the news that the Magician was gravely ill, he didn't get back to the Valley in time to say his goodbyes. So while the emotion-fest was going on, Ales stole some books and other things from the Magician's house and headed back to the mainland of the Glade of Dreams to begin his plot to overthrow Polokus. Part of this involved once again taking advantage of trust. Ales knew that as soon as he made an obvious move they would have Rayman sent after him and that would surely ruin things, so he began imitating the appearance and mannerisms of Rayman's old mentor, the Magician. That way, not only would Rayman not be against him, but would be on his side and unknowingly helping him conquer the Glade.
Of course, then the events of Rayman Origins happened. He didn't show it much, but Rayman was pretty hurt and pissed off, with every right to be. A close friend and mentor of his had died after many years apart and no chance to say goodbye, then some random guy started acting and dressing like him, so he went along with it until the imitator betrayed them and went against everything the Magician ever stood for. If Rayman had known Ales killed the Magician he would have personally dragged the teensie through the depths of the Land of the Livid Dead.

New headcanon!
The Swamps of Forgetfulness are also known as the Forgotten Swamps, as seen in the Atari Jaguar version of Rayman 1. This was actually the original name, but then people began to forget why they called it 'forgotten' if people remembered the swamps were there. Most people took to calling the swamps 'the Swamps of Forgetfulness' instead for this reason.

Re: Rayman Headcanons
I have a headcanon about the backstory of Rayman and his people. I was thinking that Rayman's limbless people used to be regular people, until they relocated to the Valley. The Valley's source of balance and harmony is, of course, the Great Protoon, which is essentially a giant atom (with electrons gravitating around a proton center).
Generations of exposure to it and relying on it for their source of balance caused te people to regress into limbless creatures, having no more need for limbs since their hands, feet, and heads became attached to their torsos by center of gravity, like electrons around a nucleus.
This is where Rayman comes in. Note that I have decided to call limbless people Toons. The bigger a Toon's center of gravity, the stronger they are and the farther their hands and feet and head can reach from their torso (once again, just like an atom's electrons). Each Toon has a symbol of some sort on their torso that indicates how big their center of gravity is. The ring on Rayman's chest is his symbol, and he has the biggest center of gravity in the Valley, making him the strongest Toon and thus making him famous (like in that R1 commercial with the paparazzi).
But no Toon has a big enough center of gravity to extend their fists to exponential lenghs. That's where Betilla comes in. Her power up she first grants him is to greaten his center of gravity to where he can extend his fists. But when she did that, his torso kept falling from his hands when he tried to hang from ledges because they were further from his body and prone to get away from him (yet again, like valence electrons, which are outer shell electrons). So Betilla corrected her mistake by strengthening his center of gravity where his hands won't get away from him whenever he hangs.
I'm using this headcanon in a fanfiction (so NOBODY steal it please!). Prone to be plenty of chemistry and basic quantum science here and there.

I was taking Chemistry and learning abt basic quantum physucs when I got into my second Rayman phase. So I started cross-referencing the two when it came to the Great Protoon and the Electoons. I even counted all the electoons in the game to find out what kind of atom it is. Unfortunately, no atom in freaking existnce could EVER have that many electrons (714).
But if I think of it as just one electoon per cage instead of seven like usual (and multiply that by six cages and then by seventeen levels as usual), the atomis number is 102, which is a Nobelium atom. But if I think of 102 as the atomis mass instead of atomic number, the closest I get is a Rhodium atom.
But, of course, my research is futile anyway, given that the proton/electron ratio is exponentially invalid, and thus far too unstable to even exist. Though when the Great Protoon loses all its electoons as it is stolen by Mister Dark, I can tell you what state of matter the atom is in: Plasma.

I got science'd. Way science'd. :O
....And on another note, I have a headcanon that this guy

Re: Rayman Headcanons
Well yes, I suppose. Though an atom that has been stripped of its electrons is in the plasma state of matter (there are five states of matter, not just three), I guess it doesn't count for the Great Protoon since it doesn't have neutrons.spiraldoor wrote:I think you mean a proton.MisterDark'sFanClub wrote:Though when the Great Protoon loses all its electoons as it is stolen by Mister Dark, I can tell you what state of matter the atom is in: Plasma.
Still, it's fun calling it plasma. It even looks like a plasma ball in the hands of Mister Dark, lol.
Re: Rayman Headcanons
Funny headcanon- The reason Rayman's hair is split into three parts in R1 and two parts in R2 is because just before he left the Valley, Rayman cut off the back piece of his hair and gave it to his limbless friends to remember him by.
