Let's not go crazy. They had a couple of good concept artists. End of story.

That kind of comment reminds me some of the YouTube comments I had in the 2D Rayman 2 Prototype, where people were claiming "this should have been the real R2" or "this would have been a very good game/better game than Rayman 2". Why people tend to reach up very subjective conclusions by just looking to few conceptual pictures or a short gameplay footage? This is exactly like judging a game by its cover. There are also those cases of the game being so polished in the graphical design that the development team totally forgets about the remaining polishments (ex.: bad music, poor gameplay, etc.). In short, while the pictures for Rayman 4 did seem good and interesting, they aren't conclusive enough in how the game would turn out.

Was the footage from the rayman 4 trailer (the one with the kids behind the sofa, the rabbids attacking etc.) from in game? Jw.

Also, does anyone know of the engine Rayman 3 was made in? If so, do you think it was used to create Rayman 4?

All evidence indicates that Rayman 3 uses an upgraded Rayman 2 engine, whether or not Rayman 4 was made on it, I'm not sure. But I personally doubt it.

As for that trailer, we've been told that they switched to the party game design when they got the Wii dev kits, I'm guessing that it's footage, but the Wii controls are being acted out.

Interesting, thanks Master! :) I remember the old r3 beta shots now with the r2 health bar, they should've kept it in my opinion.
