If you watch the Simpsons theres an episode that shows you that we evolved from apes.

I see what you mean though Spiral...someone might have an abortion, without realising that that child could've been the discoverer for the cure of Cancer...etc. You never know what happens in life.

And opposable thumbs, and less hair. But yeah, that's about it.

We don't have hands instead of feet, huge cupped ears (well, maybe), giant mouths, fangs, we walk upright, we're not naked, we don't have white bum-fluff as children, we're not colourblind...

Since when do apes have fangs? And in fact, a lot of people are colourblind. And we only wear clothes because...well, humans are wierd. That has nothing to do with genetics anyway. Some people do have quite big ears, and there's not much difference between walking upright and walking a little bit hunched over with your hands on the ground.

I just can't see how we're 99% the same...maybe something agreeable like 75%, but not 99%...

If we're on about abortion, it's cunts like the mother of Baby P [look this up, it's quite a tragic story ] that make me support abortion. No child deserves to be born to horrid parents that abuse the fuck out of their own children. >:C

Our DNA is somewhere between 97-99% the same as the chimps DNA. That's not even debateable. That's a solid fact.

We share a large portion of our DNA with mice, so chimps is hardly surprising.

As for the justice miscarriage thing: you think that convicted murderers should not be punished, on the basis that there is an extremely low possibility that he's innocent and all the evidence that points against him is a coincidence?

I'm just saying that an embryo is not more human than any of your cells (which you kill everyday by eating, walking, etc. by the way). And a foetus isn't young, it's not even born!
Sorry, but despite studying a lot of mathematics, I'm not one of those who think that statistic considerations can be applied to human lives. Not only does moral forbid us to decide of someone else's death, but what if they're innocent?

I've certainly not studied enough of quantum physics to talk about it, but it's clear that the “God created everything” theory doesn't make more sense than the big bang theory. Both are confronted to the same question: what was there before? I can't blame anyone for having their own opinions, but they should deeply think of their point of view before dissing the others'.

I guess we'll have to figure it out once we're dead. (if we can.) Or, there wont be anything to figure out, cause our consciousness might be non-existent after death. Or maybe our Souls will go to Heaven, Purgatory, or Hell. Or we'll become ghosts (but, ghosts aren't real......I think......) and always stay in the building we died in, instead of actually using our minds and walk outside for a change.

Maybe this is all a dream, and when we are asleep at night, is the real world

There's also the point of how far space stretches. Scientifically things can't just go on and on, so there's another something to ponder about.

Maybe it's like something in Men in Black...we could just be a tiny spec on someboby's necklace...

There are actually quite a few followers of the belief that our universe is an advanced computer simulation conducted by some scientists in a pandimensional universe.
