My parents got me when they were 27. I'm 21 now, but I certainly wouldn't want to have a child this early. It would only be trouble, with no own place to live, not a very good income (though it's actually not bad for someone who's still studying) and having a study to care about as well. Which is already hard enough for me to spend time on, let alone while having to take care of a child.

This is actually way off-topic by the way, but okay :oops2:

Xenon wrote:I think teenage pregnancy is an equally mounting problem in the UK. Having children at under 25 seems to have been standardized because in my opinion children aren't being taught about the dangers of creating a life without giving thought. I can't say that it's entirely down to education, but I do think if people are being properly informed this problem would seriously lessen. Just take a look at what these kids are turning into - gangsters. They aren't being adequately brought up and so turn to street gangs and violence. It's an issue that has to be addressed!

This is highly opinionated, but I'd say the legal age to have a child should be 21. 16 is far, far too young I think. I being a legitimate father is just a thought that scares the hell out of me.
I think the legal age is fine, but the age they teach kids about sex isn't!!
I mean, 10 years olds having sex? Urrg...

You would be surprised what little children already know, especially with the influence the internet brings these days... and don't you think it's better to teach them how things work early rather than not telling them until they're like 14 years old, with the risk of them becoming parents at such a young age? I mean, they're going to find out about sex soon enough anyway, so one might as well just say what's wise to do and what to be more careful with.

You know, that depends on the way that we're talking on it. If as our biology book - o.k., no problem. But in some schools in U.S., teachers are actually talking on ways on having sex, viagra-like medicaments etc.. This doesn't make sense at all! (As whole world at the moment, actually.)

What about euthanasia? The right to die? Isn't that playing God?

Please make a good argument out of this, as I have an essay to do.

Well, I do, but it's on topic.

As concerns for teaching kids sex ed at a young age, I'm for it. They need to know the facts. Anyway it's not really like they understand the feelings or urges... or, whatever. My friend's sister knows all about sex and she's only nine years old.

For euthanasia, I'm sat on the fence. There are pluses and minuses.

I think that it shouldn't go on. It's like playing God with people's lives.

I am against abortion. Euthanasia is okay though.

Remember that theory I posted about the universe creating itself through a time loop? Well, here's a diagram:

And an awesome diagram it is, too!

Spooky...

I think that in the diagram there are multiple universes.

I, err, I can't see that happening.

Quite literally, I can't SEE how that cycle works.

I can. The very bottom of the circle is the beginning of the first universe. As the universe aged, it sprouted lots of other universes. One of these universes curved backwards through time and merged with the first one. The circle is a time loop btw.

Then there must be an ultra-universe that contains every one of the universes in, but that would be infinite matter, now, wouldn't it.

BTW, I have a headache.

A system of multiple universes is called a "multiverse".
iHeckler9 wrote:but that would be infinite matter, now, wouldn't it.
Well, there's no law of physics that says infinite matter is impossible...

Don't we all...

Then what's to say the universe in question (our one, that is) doesn't support an infinite time system?
