Re: Mac or PC?
As of this date I have now used both a Mac and a PC. I found it interesting to use the Mac, but I'm still a PC guy. Also I mainly still use my mousepad when using the mouse.

I haven't used a mousepad in years…

I can say the same about a regular mouse!

Re: Mac or PC?
Wait, maybe we misunderstood each other… I meant a mousemat in that last post

Re: Mac or PC?
Oh I assumed you meant the built in mouse in a laptop. But it has been a long time since I’ve seen or used a mousepad too.
Re: Mac or PC?
To avoid confusion, I refer to that as a ‘trackpad.’

Re: Mac or PC?
I hate not having a mouse, no matter how good the trackpad is.
Re: Mac or PC?
It seems people who have Mac's end up liking the touchpad a lot, but personally I always prefer a mouse. If I ever try to work on a DAW to make music for example, I always hate having to use a trackpad for it instead of a mouse, which means that even if I use my laptop for it, I end up using a mouse anyway.

Re: Mac or PC?
Clearly, they have some of the best touchpads I've tried, but still nowhere as practical as a mouse to me.
Re: Mac or PC?
Yeah same here definitely. I can only imagine someone playing an FPS online with that trackpad.

Re: Mac or PC?
Ah yes, I would never attempt to play an FPS with anything other than an actual mouse!
Re: Mac or PC?
Hehe.
I can understand why some people are fine working with them though. I think I'm just too used to using a mouse.

Re: Mac or PC?
Well I’ve switched back to using a mouse as the main way for me to do navigate things on my laptop. I still don’t use a mousepad though and relegated my touchscreen and trackpad for certain situations. Playing time-management games with a trackpad has made me appreciate what the mouse does and I’m glad to have one again.
Edit: oh excuse me, I meant mousemat, not mousepad. To prevent confusion again.
Re: Mac or PC?
I did for a moment think of "touchpad" when I read "mousepad", but that's probably a brain 404 moment from programming again.
I definitely prefer a mouse 100% over a touchpad though, I almost find a touchpad unusable in comparison. Some touchpads can be good of course, but a mouse is still just more precise in most cases. Maybe some people are ok with having a good touchpad, I always just preferred mouse where possible personally.
