It's a mythical holiday creature that rearranges your lights at sonic speed when you're not watching, recklessly causes avalanches, obnoxiously breakdances in the middle of the icy street, and steals your cookies!

Truly the embodiment of Christmas chaos.

Good thing I had my camera on me to get a picture of it, but I'm never getting that cookie back.

Hey, I couldn't be outdone! Matching our Christmas special ranks is kinda our thing!

And yeah, Sonic X Shadow Generations? We pre-orded it, got the digital deluxe version, the whole nine yards.
We were HYPED so of course we were gonna get the whole shebang!

Chronic already got the Shadow half of the game done, I watched the entire time. (The Terios skin was pretty cool.)

We had to reset a little bit of progress on the Sonic side, because no way were we gonna pass up all those free skill points! To be fair we'd only just passed Speed Highway. The lack of lives is taking a bit to get used to, but it's nice to be able to keep trying. I mean, we're pretty confident, we could just turn lives back on...

I play Modern Dreamcast Sonic, and Chronic is playing the Genesis half, since I didn't wanna hog two different gameplay styles. And I'm so used to playing the original Sonic The Hedgehog on the Genesis that Classic feels like lead when I jump, so I had to pass it off. I also keep forgetting I'm not able to roll playing Modern Dreamcast Sonic...It sucks that Modern Dreamcast Sonic can't spindash, but the drop dash works too I guess...

I also picked the other Sonic because I'm really good at Unleashed, Secret Rings and Colors, with or without boosting. So I've got it in the bag!

...Barring a few mishaps here and there...I'm not perfect!

Funny you mention Cosmic Fall, actually. I took the time to gather up the last of those Secret Keys somewhat recently and that was one of the levels still missing a few. I think...Central City, and...and?...Ah right, Space Gadget. I'd kick myself if I forgot, I don't have amnesia. I also don't have to guess what line that'd be, do I?

Also that line you mentioned here reminded of that one conversation we had about that stock sound for the broken glass in that particular cutscene. Never fails to make me laugh, it's got the same effect as the jpeg explosion in SA2 when Sonic 'dies' in the background of one of Shadow's cutscenes. What is it about his cutscenes that wind up being unintentionally funny?...Maybe it's his serious voice but narmy lines.

I can say Shadow 2 didn't stand a chance against me! I did have fun and enjoyed myself, but only halfway. Once it got into the modern era i.e. the Sonic games I really don't ever care to play, I came to really loathe the lack of soul and color, and the morph's badly explained/initially awkward upward swing (thank you for the help on that, Cosmic), the last zone's crazy difficulty spike, the lackluster final boss...If anything it made me love the Shadow game I grew up with even more. I missed the gunplay, the chaos blast, the black volt riding...All this talking about it is really tempting me to go for another route. Shadow Generations was fun until Sega's harsh reality hit.

That said, Terios in 3D was trippy to see but also really fun to clean up the rest of the game with. (Also where's Almost Dead, you cowards! )

Made a little Christmas Ly for this year's Christmas ranks. (I hope I rounded it off okay!) Is this alright?

We're basically twinning lol, I wonder how people are doing art like that on such a small canvas without it being basically just pixel art? I might remake mine if I figure out how

It's funny because I actually didn't realize your Ly was also wearing a recolor of her bodysuit until I posted this on RPC and saw your rank again, but I welcome twinning with you! It's an honor heehee

I honestly think your rank looks very clean due to the fact you did pixel art, so I think it is perfect

Thank you! I'm not the best at pixel art so I think it's scuffed but atleast someone likes it lol

So much cocoa to give out... I'll be simmering milk on the stove top all day! It was intended to be eggnog, but I also personally prefer hot cocoa, so a welcome change. Don't forget your cookies to dip into it!
