Personally, I think when Rayman 3 developers said Razoff is the grandson of Nimrod and Artemis, they meant the ones from Earth, the Greek Goddess and the hunter from the Bible.

Razoff family is unknown for most Glade inhabitants, but also for the players. How could he impress anyone by saying he descends from people who are just named after celebrities? That's pretty common.

That would be like if somone says “My grandparents were Apollo and Daphne, you know!” Yeah, that’s cool. Mine were Abraham and Mary.

Sure, mentioning Earth mythology in Rayman 3 isn’t very lore friendly. Unless you consider it is known in the Glade of Dreams, which is kinda suggested by some games, especially Rayman Legends.

My opinion is that they just so happened to have the same names as those guys.

Also, that Nimrod is his grandfather, whilst Zaroff and Artemis are his parents. I don't think they would just make his parents/grandparent into random humans Either that or he's a big fat liar! With Barbara being a confirmed human, who knows what else from the real world is in Rayman. He's probably gotten his hands on Earth memorabilia and made it sound like he's the off-spring of 2 great hunters.

Or, if we want to take away from the real-world aspect here, gods and myths exist in Rayman Legends, so who's to say Artemis and Nimrod don't have an in-glade version of themselves?

They could indeed. After all, Legends revealed there is a Zeus, and maybe a Hades in the Glade!
