On a good news note: Soul Calibur II HD may be coming to Wii U, meaning a chance of seeing Link return is VERY possible.

That is indeed really good news. When it comes to HD remastered versions, those kind of games deserve to be on Wii U as well and not only PS3, 360,...

I've put the news on the official nintendo topic but oddly enough nobody noticed it.
Of course, I'm sad about the departure.

Nice list Sonicbrawler, I can't get into ZombiU though.

I hope to get those during a price drop, Windwaker HD and Sonic Lost World caught my attention over those instead, hehe.

Neat, though I'm curious, how? What about games that need the motion control? Does it merely make the gamepad a screen, then one uses the Wiimote to control?
I want to see this in action.

Pity at the time the direct will pass, I'll be at school.
At least I'll check later in NintendoLife.com what I missed.

One more reason to buy Wii U. I dislike Wiimote+Nunchuck controlls, and I was always happy when Wii game supported GameCube and Classic Controller.

Isn't there the Pro Controller as an alternative? Pity it is kinda pricey...

Wii Games will be played with regular GamePad too on Wii U after update.
I like GamePad because of screen so I would not buy Pro Controller right away when buying Wii U.

Plus as far as I know Pro Controller does not work on regular Wii if I am not in error.

The Pro Controller is for the Wii U only, but there's alternatives. Pretty cool that their bringing Wii games to the pad.

So what about Wii note only games? Like the Metroid games on the console?
