OK, technically it's bonfire night not fireworks, but it seems like they've become synonymous at this point.

Or make an explosive Molotov, really it's up to your imagination.
Basic Molotovs needs a glass bottle, some sand (or earth), a fuel of some sort and some rip clothe. (It is better to keep the clothe and the fuel separated, just tying it around the bottle is enough)
The grenade of the poor, it is really cheap easy to make and fucking dangerous.

As far as < knows they need a fuse to ignite them and a burning rag doesn't always do the job so a match or sparkler is used, < is guessing that's what he was referring to.
