I finally decided to start following this topic again, seeing as the 'oh no spoilers!!' argument won't really change at any point until I find a suitable Windows to play my game on - and then I stumble into another member vs. member debate/arguement. Jolly!

But out of interest - sergio, what kind of new colour scheme would you come up with for the RPC? Could you do maybe a sketchy mock-up idea for visualisation?

@Ad
Just stating it casually, it is definitely not happening.

Sorry to interrupt you, Brad, but... that signature. It hurts my eyes... it's too bright. Could you be a little more careful with your palette choices next time?
Good! I hope your eyeballs melt!

I honestly really prefered how it looked before and I am not saying that just to disagree with Sergio. It looks so bland and boring now while in past it had really nice colors.

THE FINAL BOSS IS AN ANAL PLASTER!

YOU HEARD ME CORRECTLY. THE FINAL BOSS IS A PLASTER FOR THE ANUS.

Pity there's no plaster for the anticlimax that is the final boss. I do hope that if the UbiArt games do get a third title, that the bosses do get a bit of an overhaul, RO and RL's bosses look good, but they're not the most challenging or satisfying to beat.

I enjoyed Legends' bosses. They were far more enjoyable than the ones from Origins.

I'm agreed there, but I personally think that R1 and R3 tie for best bosses. R2's bosses are tied with RO's.

Fuck my game experience is ruined but my life is so much more complete knowing this.

God, replaying Legends is insanely fucking fun. I love Rayman! I wish I could replay Rayman 2, but it's lost, fuk.

Or.... you know, you could just stop being the asshole-ish waste of space that you usually are. Whatever, it was just an advice.

Oh, sure I'd like to help. While my strenght wasn't web design during the studies in my career, I'm pretty sure I can come up with some nice colour palettes!

Hm... if only there was a way to implement Rayman's current identity into Rayman 2's pirate theme...

This did not specifically meant to be made for me only, but was a rather criticism at people who do half-assed job with characters in Brawl. They should make original ones for the audience in general, not for me only.

"Should".

Nevermind, this is getting off-topic.

Okay then, recovering from Sergio's off topicy, train wreck posts.

Replaying is surprisingly more replayable for me personally. More than Origins. The Daily Challenges are definitely what make me come back for more. And when I'm done with those I usually find myself wanting to play the regular levels.

I can't remember why Ad doesn't like the level designs, but I do love how the levels start where the previous one left off, just like how Donkey Kong Country Returns & Tropical Freeze does. It's the continuity in Legends does make the gameplay help tell the "story" or shows the player progressing. I just love it.

I thought that, compared to Origins, the level design didn't have as much thought and meticulity put into it, they didn't suit Rayman's mechanics as well. Whereas every platform, wall, ceiling and slope seems to have been calculated and designed for a reason in Origins, in Legends, a lot of the time they just give you a more box-shaped/flat area you have to traverse through, which is much less interesting and doesn't offer you nearly as much in regards to how you're able to master these levels. Not every level in Legends is like this, far from it, but I'd give it a pretty even split. At least in Origins, every single level, even the most frustrating ones had a clear goal in mind and a way you could master it.

A lot of Legends' levels wouldn't be out of place in a Mario game for instance. That isn't to say Mario platformers are at all 'directionless', it just goes to show how the level design feels a lot less relevant to the player's mechanics than it did in Origins, which is a shame to me.

Like you mentioned, the challenges are actually phenomenal for the most part. But I'm only really referring to the campaigns.

Concurred, hence why I feel that RL is better for multiplayer, it gives more room in comparison to RO's more perpetual and ferrying designs, which I feel are better traversed in single or two player.

I didn't enjoy Rayman Origins, I found it boring to play and the controls just seemed off. If I were to play Legends, would I have a better experience?
