So then < is gonna have to agree that Yoda is more annoying than Jar Jar at the beginning but it has a purpose in the plot, whereas Jar Jar is annoying because ololol. Thus, you're goddamn right that < will complain about Jar Jar. < can't be a special snowflake if it interferes with the mighty truth.

Perhaps folks may be more tolerant of Yoda's annoying demeanour because it's shown to be a facade, as opposed to Jar-Jar whose behaviour is seemingly natural. < does recall the whole Darth Jar-Jar theory, it being similar to how Yoda presented himself to Luke could be why it became so popular.

It has been a while since < saw Phantom Menace, so <'s memory of Jar-Jar is fuzzy. He did also feature in the Clone Wars cartoon, if memory serves. < finds that the Star Wars cartoons can be pretty good at adding in interesting lores and perspectives on characters that don't feature prominently in the films.
