< welcomes ^ to the forum!

< has a few:
  • Use the slippery slides in for example The Fairy Glade well. If you jump on them with just the right aiming and jump off at the right time, you will launch yourself forwards by miles at high speed.
  • Cut corners in the geometry with jumping, where you can.
  • Vertical Spider's Webs can be quick-climbed by repeatedly jumping and clinging back on to them, a trick < learned from watching bots in Rayman M race.
  • Most Robo-Pirates die in one hit when struck with a Powder Keg.
  • While most instances where Rayman gets hit will slow your progress down, some, like some explosions, will actually propel you forwards quickly.
  • The whole pipe section in The Fairy Glade can be completely bypassed in three to four seconds or so by jumping down, never using the Helicopter and falling straight to the far side of the tunnel, where the wooden bridge will be at the bottom.
  • Sometimes you can skip whole bits of walking by clever use of the Helicopter.
  • When riding the Plums on lavastreams, do not fight the current. Be one with the wa-- lava, be the stream. Then shoot at the right times and you will go down very quickly.
  • If you time your jumps right in The Precipice, the explosion from the Pirate Warship's cannon fire will actually propel you forwards when it hits the wooden walkways you traverse.
  • In the Prison Ship on the Flying Shell, there is a "secret" tunnel in the section where you are being assaulted by lasers. If you move to the right, over the walls, there will be an opening to fly through. This path is somewhat easier to navigate and has a shortcut jump right to the end of that flying section.
  • Don't use your charges in the final confrontation with Razorbeard on hitting him when he's down; he takes far more damage from falling into the lava than from additional shots while in there, and it takes a long time for you to go get a charge from one of the tunnels (especially when he gets your bath ready) and then shoot him than to hold on to that charge until you can use it again when he clambers back onto the pillars.

<'s only advice on that is to make NANDroid backups and make them frequently. <'s phone just commited sudoku today again in a relatively short time since the last full reinstall. Custom OSes are definitely the way forward for <, but they're not completely free of issues.

< is itchy all over. Why is < suddenly itchy all over??

Ah yes, < forgot about backups, < believes TWRP has such a facility. <'ll get to that at some point. Though < doesn't really see <self tinkering this time, < was more just for getting off Stock and onto an updated version of Android without the usual fuss you tend to get.

< already ate <'s supply of biscuits :(

< recommends Master do this especially then, since tinkering is also not what <'s been doing. Simple usage will, in some cases, as <'s come to learn, cause phone sudoku

< is in love with Ambs's DOOM sig

Already on it, < is pretty glad that they allow for touch screen support on custom recoveries nowadays. < remembers back when you had to use the volume buttons.
