< doesn't think it means anything; you'll find plenty of harmless molecules which can be synthesized from lethal chemicals.
< agrees, but < is pretty sure that in this case the methanol is re-liberated in the body, as a metabolite.

In fairness, it's done by third parties who have to go off what the manufacturers provide. Either ways, <'s done the backup now, so all is good.
< still finds it odd that an entire OS could be brought to its knees by hanging up on a phone call.
Come to think of it, it might have been just some lock-file that the phone app failed to delete, which < could have sorted using ADB. Maybe.

Hmm, do Android phones allow for stuff like dumps when they crash? < guesses it probably doesn't by default for memory saving purposes, but can such a feature be added?

< is sure it's possible, since Android is basically Linux. And "adb logcat" could be a good place to start for diagnostics if the OS is in a working state at all.

Yeah. Although it's possible to use a Terminal Emulator app and use "logcat", or install a logcat app for just viewing logs. < guesses that's probably more reliable in some circumstances.

<'s not been messing with <'s current daily driver phone, this is <'s old phone. < isn't too worried about bricking it, as there's a lot of documentation about how to do things. But < isn't really doing much other than getting it onto a flavour of Android which is more regularly updated.
