< does own a android smartphone, but <'s had it for over 2 years and it's showing its signs of wearing down. The battery time for one, is greatly reduced, and if the phone is running multiple apps at once, the phone will tend to crash and turn itself back on, draining the battery percentage.

Many environmentalists have also condemned the pipeline for furthering climate change, and it gained a lot of widespread criticism when a story came out that the police force tasked to remove a group of peaceful protestors turned violent, as well as that the company behind the pipeline also donated a bunch of money to Trump's campaign, and now the Trump Administration is doing their bidding.
So yeah, it's a complicated situation that < thinks would all in all be best resolved by simply not building the pipeline, and instead focusing our energies on green technology.
I see.
I find it a bit sad however that religion is given so much importance and used as an excuse against a technical project like this. Whether it's Christianity or native religions, they should be kept out of the public sphere. I get the point about focusing on renewables instead, but what are the concerns about the water supply? Do oil pipeline leaks happen that often?

For the rest, black holes aren't really dissimilar from any other sort of object with mass when it comes to motion; they can be propelled forwards by any sort of event just like a comet, planet or star can.
Read this, for instance.
< meant to say that it was extremely rare due to the huge amount of energy required to set one in motion. In the example you gave, for example, researchers believed it took... two galaxies to collide, nothing less.

Fuck this, I've been the same height since I was 13.
Shrooblord wrote:And actually, humans are evolving still to this day. < calls on the example of sickle cell anaemia. It is quite an unfortunate disorder for an individual to have except that it provides total and complete immunity to the deadly, deadly malaria disease. Where would a trait like this be beneficial? Why, in Africa, where the malaria disease is raging feverishly. And that's exactly where we happen to find SCA most often, because individuals inflicted with the disorder actually have a higher chance of survival than those who are not, in those conditions.
This is an example of current-day and quite recent evolutionary adaptation (generations developing traits over time to benefit surviving their natural conditions best).
Well I was specifically talking about modern society, which I wouldn't consider malaria-ridden countries are a part of.
< says it's great news!
< saw some of those videos before, it's obviously actors making a good amount of money playing dumb.
