Well I tried to crop both screens as accurately as I could and the demo had all these weird coloured bars at the bottom I prolly omitted. I'm up to Eat at Joes in the jag version, and...wow, I CAN SEEEEE! I mean, I don't get no firefly so no darkness in that area.
OK here's my secret, I'm cheating.

Haha, impressive. You should maybe film it one day.

I'm only filming it if I ever get a real one because Project Tempest gives no sound at all.

I'm really wondering what Candy Château is like in the Jaguar version now

I've beaten Skops now and I've got the daunting task of backtracking for the other cages...uh, wish me luck.

Eat at Joe's w/o darkness has been done:
Oh, and good luck with the cages, Stacey.

Most of them are in the same places as in the other versions, aren't they?

Thanks for uploading that vid, Plum. Looks nice and easy!
Good luck finding them cages, Stace- Unfortunate how you can't just use a password to get there.

My PC version was that way the very first time I played, so I never understood what the firefly actually did other than give the screen a yellowish tint. lol But that's just because I had an on-board video card, and the computer was just crap overall.

@Hunch: yeah most of them are, and what's more is that because there's no sliding programming, it's sometimes easier to get all 6 cages at once in some levels eg Allegro Presto.
I started a new file which won't use all power [still using the lives cheat though] because my cheats file wouldn't show Betilla scenes, and now that I defeated Moskito [which I had trouble with because you need super quick reflexes while taking care not to crash the game], and the bit where you get the grabbing power uses the same background as Moskito's boss level. It looked kinda cool but I couldn't take a good screen because PT has a bit of a habit of blurring animated sprites.
I'm dreading Candy Chateau like uuurg

Make sure to copy your save before going to Candy Chateau. It might automatically overwrite it like it does in the PS1 version, in which case you'd have to finish the entire game again to get back to Candy Chateau.

I'm gonna sound like a div but - how do I do that? I've only got an erase option in this version, unless you mean the .epr file it makes when I save.

Heeeeellllppp!!
I've got like, one electoons cage left but I can't find it. It's Eat At Joes and usually in the water bit a cage appears on the red platforms, but it doesn't. And since you can't hear fuck all you don't know when the cage appears so FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU

Wow... you got through that game pretty quick.
Sorry I can't really help you here, Spiral gave me the password because I couldn't find any cages whatsoever.

I don't know how it happened but it was pretty much a breeze now thanks to the 50 lives cheat. I HATE HATE HATE HATE Eat at Joe's now.
edit: might ask atariage for help provided that anyone actually beat it before.
edit2: NVM I found it! It was in the "dark" level all along and apparently not in the water one. But I gotta go through it all over again but expect candy Chateau screens v/ soon.

I'm not sure, but copying the .epr sounds like a good idea at this point.

It doesn't matter now because I BEAT THE GAME! Fuck yeah that felt good, but apparently there's no ending. D= Just credits, nothing more. Poo. But I had a good haul as far as screens go, come take a look.
The first two parts of Candy Chateau are completely different [no frying pan slides, and no Bad Rayman among other things] so I had to of course figure them out myself with no maps or anything. The bit where Mr Dark comes in to cast his shit on you is still intact though but the lack of sliding makes it so much easier. Then I can confirm that the two space mama things are not there, and instead Skops-Stone stands there, gets all confused, walks away and then in comes the Moskito-Mama-Sax thing halfway through the total health. No shrinking. When I beat it [total HP is 12 instead of 24], it rains electoons and that's it.
In conclusion while it was interesting to see all those differences, I can't help but feel that it's no better than the PS1 version, which has the best sound, special effects an stuff.
