The shell ride section is MUCH harder in the PS1 version, because if you move more than a few inches, you die, and there is sometimes a glitch where the loop acts like a wall and kills you.

Something similar happens in the shell rides in R3 GBA. Sometimes if you jump and land on a loop, you will accidently go into a loop again on a completely seperate area and die. :confus:

Ditto.

It didn't have the same feel to it that it had in R2.

This was probably thing that became most different with all the versions... excluding graphics.

Oh, and don't me started on the Shell ride on the Iron Mountains...
*groan* That is just "Death-on-a-stick", especially in Rayman DS. That Robot Dinosaur just won't leave me alone!

I don't like the chicken robot. It's so fast and you must boost away to not be crunched. But I usually crash in the ground or the stones when using boost.. :(

I think ubisoft should have made it a boss.
I think it should have been called the giant robo minasarus.
I think everyone is talking about R2 again rather than R3.

I played and beaten Rayman 3 on the PS2 for a change today. I actually noticed a few odd differences here and there from the PC version. :\

Oh, and I encountered a flew glitches first time playing through. Wonderful. O_o; One of them even effected my score, where I got a blue can to spawn earlier than it's supposed to. (I took a photo too and stored it on the memory card.) The final boss fight was even a little harder, just because you have to aim more places than just the left and right edges of the screen, top, and center.

I think I know what you're talking about with the can. Isn't it in the tower of Leptys when you're fighting a bunch of Hoodstormers?

Yes! I've experienced that too! If there is a trigger I'd really like to find it out, so do remember playing the level differently to as you would normally? I once played part 2 twenty consecutive times but the glitch never occured, yet it has occured many, many times before. It's angering because I'd need that to improve on my "maximum" score.

That is indeed it. O_o I vaguely remember encountering it ONCE on the PC version, but then never again. One trigger for it though I think is just the fact that I was in the blue suit almost the entire time playing, plus I actually paused the game to do <something> for roughly 30 minutes right before the hoodstormer part started.

Too bad I'd need a lot of practice before I increase my score on the PS2 as much as I have on the PC version. I'll admit that I actually really suck at playing games with a gamepad, and Rayman 3 doesn't seem to be as responsive if you use the D-Pad.

Does anyone remember what place I was in on the PC Hall of Fame? 52nd? 53rd?

According to the current HOF you're eighteenth. It was probably different several years back though.

Anyway I'll have to investigate this glitch... it might be worth switching to TTOTL instead of playing TFC or TBOM.

Sweet. I'm glad that my own posts had a part in bringing this about.

On a related note, I was browsing around the internets when I came across a post by him in the official BG&E forums. He made a really stupid post there.
