You mean the one that someone believed it was Mr. Dark? :bTHEdragon wrote:I haven't played Adventures so I haven't seen the racist enemy designs. This does kind of remind me of that one scrapped element from Rayman 1. You know the one I'm referring to.

A huge Black guy face with a cigar that was supposed to be in Rayman 1. Kind of makes you wonder what was he going to do in the game.Sabertooth wrote:What is this? Sorry man, I tried searching google images, but I found this instead.Bionichute wrote:No seriously I need Grovebox, not the princess.
Re: Rayman Adventures
I'm a bit late to comment the recent two updates but I must say I am very satisfied to see finally the name of the location with the orient motives in Rayman Legends' challenges. The visuals of the scenarios are really pretty! Also, is it me or the new asian-alike enemies are a reference to Kill Bill? There was a level in particular that I enjoyed a lot involving rescuing Teensies in the rockets but you needed to reach them first than the lighted fuses, it was a different way to play this kind of mission
. It reminded me of Croc 2's Roger the Red Ant levels.
I also just saw right now the new skins before going here... Grovebox's description!!!
As for the mechanics changes, I am pretty sure that Ubisoft was not happy for the fact of how easily people could get Golden Lucky Tickets without the need of spending/purchasing gems thanks to the now extinct Clone-O-Meter so they had to find other way to make it tougher. On the other hand we get awards more often and it is easier to get the creatures we want.

Re: Rayman Adventures
I don't get the "racist" part. What's racist in a fucking movie reference?
Re: Rayman Adventures
Racist?... Since when?
Re: Rayman Adventures
Since the last few pages of this thread.

Re: Rayman Adventures
They're buck-tooth, squinty eye Asian stereotypes. It's not just a movie reference, its boiling down an entire culture (Or rather, two unrelated cultures) to a single recognizable person, that being Bruce Lee.
Again, there's one enemy that is a type of Japanese demon, why couldn't they ALL be like that instead of something so offensive?

Wait, the Clone-O-Meter is gone!?
Re: Rayman Adventures
Yes. Instead of getting duplicate eggs, you now get surprise eggs.CHRdutch wrote:Wait, the Clone-O-Meter is gone!?
Re: Rayman Adventures
I think thats good change.
Re: Rayman Adventures
It's definitely an improvement. You get better stuff, only thing is now you won't be able to get gems quicker.
Re: Rayman Adventures
Oh, I just saw images of the new character costumes, replacement Tarayzan looks great.

Re: Rayman Adventures
Haha I know you're joking but if that were the case, half the time you can't even finish the level with the trick because the second platform you have to glide all the way over to just sort of appears when it feels like it.OCG wrote:Also regarding that level, what if its not unfinished but actually made like that on purpose because they wanted it to be tough?
Yeah the enemies are totally racist, not sure what is with the total lack of awareness. Since I am old, I get that it's Bruce Lee and not Kill Bill,Bionichute wrote:Not entirely sure why you guys are so upset at them Ess Jay Dubyas when racist caricatures in the modern age are generally not accepted anywhere.
Geez, did you have all the achievements too? That sounds awful!Carrot-master wrote:Yeah, great update... My progress was wiped and now I'm on Adventure 1 with the app crashing every time I start it... 700 adventures gone...
