That's what he's saying. Anyway, there's no point in arguing with these people on this subject - I've tried.

No point arguing anyways. This is a thread to state your views on religion not to argue.

But this is also a thread to discuss religion (otherwise we would't have anywhere near 80 pages), so I'd be very interested in hearing exactly why you subscribe to this particular branch of Cristianity (Biblical Creationism).

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that her parents told her when she was a child and that she believed them.

Whoa... This is a little off topic, but I thought I'd mention it. I've encountered someone on another forum who I consider to be similar to Tobbe in his general manner and way of debating. The difference is his views are in direct opposition to Tobbe's, ie he's a Catholic. Seeing him and Tobbe argue would be... interesting.

Well if he really is like Tobbe, they would probably come to the conclusion that both atheism and Christianity are beliefs and stop debating. It wouldn't be the case if he was a creationist, but since this theory is against all scientific evidence, anyone believing in it just can't be similar to Tobbe. Anyway, very few Catholics believe in creationism compared to Lutherans.

I hope you made the decision for yourself and didn't let this 'thing' decide for you.

What lies did they tell you to convince you that all the species of the world were created in a flurry of miracles and incantations rather than through millions of years of evolution?

That's because of leadership. The Pope leads Catholicism, so we listen to him. He says that evolution is true. However, Lutherans look to the Bible, which says Creationism and has done so since it was written.

It's actually more complicated, as there's also a problem of interpretation of the Bible.

By the way, even better than Uncyclopedia and Encyclopedia Dramatica, here is Conservapedia

I think we should call him 'Dark Tobbe', or perhaps 'Bad Tobbe'.

On a serious note, I think inviting him here or Tobbe to whatever forum the other guy's on so they could have a debate would be good.

Is that site for real, or is it some kind of liberal troll site? This article amused me; is there a ridiculously far-left Liberapedia too? If not, there should be. It would be awesome.

No.I went to Glen Rose,TX and saw a creation museum that explained why evolution is impossible.
Been around for 25 years.

if evolution is impossible then can anyone explain to me why we all have hair on our bodies? Why our hands and feet are similar to those of primates? Hmm?

Or as said in shows or documentaries such as "The History of the Bible," it was the church that chose what chapters to include and which ones not to, which troubles me a little at times. Why omit information while keeping others? Really, the best guess I could make for creationism at this point in my life is just the fact that the Book of Genesis could be more poetic than literal, as is, a few other parts of the Bible.
