I mean, I certainly agree that as cheap as possible is ideal (I bought the franchise bundle on Steam in the Autumn Sale last year, for less than €14), but I'm just saying that getting even just Generations, the Racing games, and the Adventure games alone, with all of their DLC, would justify even a €50 price tag for me (especially when you consider that Generations has an avid modding community). But there's even more beyond that in the bundle, and a very humble price, so it's really generous either way.
EDIT: The composer for Sonic Boom Wii U has been discovered:
Alexander Brandon's credits include Jazz Jackrabbit, Vigilante 8, Deus Ex, Dust and Alpha Protocol.

Brawler beat you to the punch on the previous page:
sonicbrawler182 wrote:So do any of you guys remember the long dead Sonic 2 HD Project?
Well, I was on Facebook, and their page posted this:
Hello everyone!
The only thing more surprising than seeing an official post from us here is our announcing that S2HD is no longer dead.
You read that correctly: work has once again begun on Sonic 2 HD! That said, we'd like to give you all a brief tie-in for recent events leading to the project's reboot.
As many of you know, the leading reason behind the project's cancellation was due to the programming element being removed with no possibility of return in its existing form. As of last year, this changed. Before anyone raises the question, no, the former programmer and the S2HD team members have not had a reunion; instead, a fan of the project independently created and submitted his own engine to Vincent, the project leader, for evaluation. After integrating the art assets from the alpha release and successfully testing it, Vincent began to let the rest of the prior team members know, and we've picked up where we left off sans those who are unavailable due to real life obligations. Two other talented programmers have since offered their skills to recreate the game's physics to match the original, and to port the game to the Mac OS platform (the latter of which is still in the earliest possible stage, and we have no estimate on when it will be playable, so stay tuned!).
In response to some of the questions we have seen, the Alpha Release build is officially discontinued and will not get any form of support as we do not have the source code. The next release will be entirely new programming from the ground up.
We'll provide more details in how you can help us out in the next few days. It's good to be back!
Either ways, yeah, 'tis very exciting indeed.

On that subject though, did anyone else manage to play it?

I tried, but was put off after the whole DRM debacle, 'sides, my laptop probably wouldn't have been able to run it anyways.

I was somehow able run it smoothly on my old laptop, which was surprising at the time considering I later learned that the system requirements rivaled Crysis 2. It would take FOREVER to load though. I did this before I knew about the controversy surrounding it though, and uninstalled it when I found out.
That being said it looked really pretty and played just like the normal Sonic 2. There was also a nice teaser of the MMO mode they had planned in the game's credits.

There's an official Sonic YouTube channel up now.
Not only does it have a bunch of trailers for games old and new, but it has other community based videos like Sonic Boom concerts, and some random stuff by the PR guys (like an unboxing of a one-of-a-kind Sonic Sackboy).
Very awesome recreation of the SA2 Sonic and Shadow cutscene. Not gonna lie, I wish the in game cutscenes in Sonic games were animated like this.

Last year, that URL lead to a channel that was terminated due to copyright issues with name and impersonation. I guess SEGA contacted YouTube.

Saw that video earlier today via twitter, and it makes me want the Sonic adventure games to be recreated exactly like that!

My god, that was amazing. I like it when people actually put effort into making videos with SFM or GMOD instead of doing....well....this:
Raping HWM faces and making nonsensical videos.

If you want more videos like that, I recommend BalenaProductions. He does a lot of Sonic stuff.

Sorry for the double post, but I thought this would be cool to share. If you have the PC version of Generations, here's a mod you can look forward to.

My reaction to new Sonic Boom Characters announced today:
Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Amy and Robotnik are ALL characters we really need dammit.

Meh, SatAM was pretty decent with its unique support characters, I still hold to wait and see, even if things are looking a bit iffy.

They're mostly NPC characters in the game from the game and secondary characters in the cartoon. I doubt they'll steal screen time from the main heroes. Design wise, they look pretty interesting, my favorites so far are probably Q-N-C (the robot) and the two jellyfish.

Green Hill Zone from Super Smash Bros. Brawl is returning in Super Smash Bros. for 3DS!
Also, here's the box art for Sonic Boom: Shattered Crystal.

Sticks being on cover is just disgraceful. I know Amy is kidnapped in this version but stil, she deserves to be on front cover more.
