< finally managed to get Debian Wheezy in a chroot on <'s Samsung. Turns out the Replicant kernel is too old to run Jessie or Stretch, which is why that took < so long. Now to try and actually set up the servers < wants to run on it…

< Thinks OpenSuse runs pretty well on this Dell Inspiron. Only major complaint is the glossy screen, but the power consumption is very well to <'s liking with the Pentium D T4200. < nabbed the 250GB Samsung SSD out of the three year newer 11.6" Lenovo Thinkpad X130e. The APU in that machines pretty weak in comparison.
< Feels this to be much more usable, especially on car trips with out something that'll blow a power inverter in the car like <'s gaming laptop would.

< isn't sure < is understanding this correctly: a mobile Pentium D? < was always under the impression that the "D" stood for "desktop".
Hell, the chip's been obsolete almost a decade, and < is still learning about it!

Yep, there sure is a mobile Pentium D. < says this laptop is from 2009, while it may not be a power horse by any means, it's still fairly capable for what < is using it for. Internet, older games, and learning linux with.
< has two of these exact laptops. One that runs Windows 7, and a 40GB Intel SSD, and then this one, with OpenSuse 42.2.
