Well, this James person appears to think that he is, indeed, the Joker. But it's most probable that he was faking being insane to not get the death sentence.

Well, that actually depends. He could have been born with a mental disability of some sort relating to psychopathism. But chances are that isn't the case still, and I'm in support of trying to cure people.

Agreed, it could be a combination of both nature and nurture aspects, like I say it would have built up and formed over time most likely, they will probably make a documentary on the matter, dwelling into the sickos past and what not
