I'd take this with a grain of salt for the time being, seeing as I've not seen any other site report this.

Seems very likely, though I wonder if it'll come to the States too. I was looking to buy a new vita since I regretfully sold mine. It's a very nifty underrated handheld device for console-quality gaming on the go.

I was intrigued by the Vita when it was launched, but it's not really seen the boom that the 3DS ended up with.

The problem with the Vita library is that it really isn't for everyone. Nintendo has variety while a good chunk of Vita exclusives are anime-styled games. And most of the other games are console ports (Jak and Daxter, Ratchet and Clank, Sly), with the exception of Rayman Origins and Legends, which has features exclusively for the Vita.

Yeah, and the ports haven't been the best either. It doesn't help that Sony doesn't seem to care much for it either.

The PSP sold amazingly and had a robust library, so I don't know why they are just putting no effort into selling the Vita, makes you wonder if Sony will even bother continuing to sell those.

Agreed, I still have my old Pandora'd PSP slim, it had a nice range of games, and Sony did a good job with it.
The weird thing about the Vita is that Sony bothered to make a slim model, even though they've not bothered at all on the Software side. It makes me wonder if they're pushing that wholly on third party developers instead of taking pushing actively for titles.

New throwback thursday

I think it's obvious, but the question is which one in the series it comes from.

You fucker :p . A lot of people detested Zelda 2 and skipped it and hardly even remember it, you'd be surprised.

So where do they put the cup boundaries before anyone plays, I wonder?

Crap, I didn't think about that one. Now that you mention it, I'm curious too. xD

From what I remember, the boundaries seem to change as time goes on, I'm assuming there's some sort of algorithm that dictates each boundary. With that in mind, I think it's probable that the boundaries start at 0, and move up as the challenges are played.

The 1st one gets diamond, 2nd gets gold and 3rd gets silver. Then the boundaries change.
From what I know, you get diamond cup if you're in the top 1% of players, so I assume you get gold if you're in the top 20%, silver in the top 50% and bronze if you're in the top 80%.

Makes sense, but then how did those two both have silver? XD

I've tried playing the challenges the second they come out : the beginning is sometimes chaotic. When you begin the challenges, you measure up to the ones that undertook them already, but when it ends, some players added their feat to the pile. However, in those instances, the result screen will give you your normal result, but compare you to only the players you saw before beginning the challenge.
I tried explaining it as well as I could, so forgive me if you don't understand one bit...
