< has been trying to quickly learn C since < is required to do a basic programming test where the language of choice is C
< thinks it feels so primitive compared to it's younglings

< experiments in C# sometimes.

< loves C. It's fascinating. But < would almost never use it.
< actually used to use it quite a lot since < had never bothered to learn anything much else, but < is not proud of what < did under that constraint.

< thinks C would be a fine language if < weren't so use to some functions/features in newer languages, most notably "else" statements and needing to declare strings as chars

< had a few things to take care of today. Hopefully < is able to figure out a place we could get parts at more directly for our business.

<'s nose has been a little runny today. Not at the bothering level yet.

< is reminded of the old back-to-school tradition. For the first weekend the English teacher would give us some sort of essay to get us back into the swing of things. < would be there on Sunday afternoon writing it, then suddenly sniff… And that would be the beginning of <'s beginning-of-term cold, the school year's twisted way of saying welcome back!

< is severely disappointed with the ideas being tossed around in the List of Ranks topic.

< is happy to be able to catch up on the YouGame topic at a more manageable pace again.
Don't get < wrong; < enjoyed that people were having fun posting massive reply sprees, but < literally had to skip whole pages because < gave up trying to scroll through 20 pages each day to get all caught up about the third time around.

The majority of <'s programming has involved basic C, though with some C++ extras now and then. Though in fairness, < isn't sure if <'s done anything particularly advanced with <'s programming of embedded ICs. There's a lot of stuff where you get stuff like Standard Peripheral Libraries to help do things, which < finds easier over having to use register level stuff.

<'s programmed in Game Maker Language a lot when < was younger, which is if < recalls correctly a C-based language.
<'s done lua and Python and TI-83 BASIC, HTML and JavaScript, MEL and is currently trying <'s hand at Unreal Engine 4's C++.
< likes having tried so many languages. Each has their own subtle nuances and strenghts, weaknesses and quirky nature. Each is quite different, yet oh so similar.

<'s worked with C, C#, Python and some Visual Basic. < knows the basics, but < feels < still has a lot to learn, <'s very much a novice when it comes to things like multithreading, and < feels < needs more work on stuff like Object Oriented Programming. < thinks <'s somewhat limited by being focused on embedded systems, and < doesn't really get the chance to go into great detail in the languages < studies.
There's also Verilog and VHDL which < had to use for <'s assignments last year and this year. < struggles a great deal more with those.

< hates Python.
