< remembers being able to play AAC on the iDevices; are AACs better quality than MP3? < doesn't remember.

You know, you can’t just take a turntable anywhere you want unless it’s a Crosley, and Crosleys are shit with their crappy ceramic cartridges tracking at 5 grams.
According to Google, AAC is lossy.Shrooblord wrote:< remembers being able to play AAC on the iDevices; are AACs better quality than MP3? < doesn't remember.

Re: The You Game!
Some very good episodes of Robot Wars and Top Gear this week. < really enjoyed the rematches between Carbide and Apollo, but man, Carbide was merciless. Though < does wonder if another flipper could potentially beat them again, last year, it looked like they lost because of how their spinner ended smashing against the arena floor when Apollo flipped them.
As for Top Gear, < is really beginning to see the chemistry break through, and the cars themselves are very stunning. < loved the Ford GT they showed and how it dipped down when they put it in Track Mode. And that buggy race was really nerve wracking but exciting.
Just a pity that they don't seem to be on next week, it looks like <'ll be missing them because their time slots have been taken by golf. Funny, < misses Samurai Jack this week because of the new Rick and Morty (which < is surprised to hear nothing about on the Cartoon thread). And next week, < misses <'s other two Sunday shows. Still, good stuff, and Doctor Who's back in two weeks as well.

Wow, the French versions of those notifications are a hell of a lot more verbose!
< guesses that's connected to the fact that French is syllable-timed while English is stress-timed.

< congratulates Serz' mom on her birthday!
< is slowly finding all the sound FX that were used in Rayman 2 and other great ones thanks to the Music Producers thread.
< is deliberating building a library of royalty-free sound FX < can use from the day of purchase onwards forever. Would be a nice investment to have a solid library for life.
