Wow, the Candy Chateau is really different! You should make a video of that.

Well done and great screens Stace! Must've felt good. Funny how it's so different, and how like, no-one has done this even though it's the first.
These are my personal favourites!

That's interesting. I thought all those things were created for Junior and Designer, but apparently they were always there, just omitted from nearly every version of R1. I wonder why. And that corkscrew thing has never been seen before.

That's just strange. I wonder if it's meant to represent the electoons being freed or something to do with the Protoon or something.
A video of the entire Candy Chateau level would be great, if you could do that sometime.

I really wish I could get the audio to work but apparently you need like 2GHz of RAM or something to get it...I dunno.
BTW someone on wikipedia reckons that Rayman 1 contains references to this movie, what do you think?

Looks like a perfectly normal trailer to me, i haven't spotted any R1 references in it.

It's in Rayman Designer.
The screenshots reminded me of it actually.

Actually I noticed two references, the "magician hat" man who says his name is "Mr. Dark" (And the clothes aren't very different) and the clowns playing on the parade that remind me the Candy Chateau ones.
Coicidence?

I wouldn't be so liberal with the use of that smiley if I were you; you run the risk of making yourself look like a dick.
Go back and re-read that post you made, then tell me that smiley was necessary.

This is interesting. It's hard to see any similarities apart from the "Mr Dark" name, but according to Wikipedia the Mr Dark of 'Something Wicked This Way Comes' is the owner of a carnival, and we all know that the Mr Dark of Rayman 1 has carnival elements mysteriously shoehorned into his candy-land.

I think the candy land is a reference to the gingerbread house.

I did try the PS1, GBA and DOS versions and I love the PS1 version. Its gorgeous. The PS1 version is the best among the 3 versions that I tried.

I prefer the PC version, which is technically the most accomplished.

If the PC version's sfx audio was better then I'd pick that as my favourite version.
About SWTWC: well to be honest I haven't seen this movie at all, in fact I never even heard of it, but when I heard "Mr. Dark" in that trailer I kinda shat a brick.

If this is the case, then Ubisoft certainly watches the worst crap ever.

Anything's better than the "Hereitscool" story though, don't you think?

What about a few rabbits going crazy and causing a three-time world saver to obey their every whim?

Liar. The best version of Rayman 1 is the PSX version. It has the best sound quality, much higher-quality cinematics than are found in any other version, exclusive additional music, and more variety in the colours of the textures. It also has some subtle atmospheric touches added, such as the mist in some Dream Forest levels.

And the graphics are more smooth than the other versions.
PSX is also the best version in my opinion, and PC is next.

Speaking of the saturn version I'm gonna start a new game because I do NOT want to do Pencil Pentathlon more than once per game. At least in the Jag version there aren't any rows of pencils to jump over. Seriously that's the worst part of the game ever, worse than Space Mama's crater.
