Well Being a Christian to me means believing in what the bible says and its says god made the universe.
The Bible also says that pi = 3.0, it promotes rape, incest, oppression and abuse of women, slavery, abuse of slaves, racism and genocide. According to the Bible, stoning is the proper punishment for adultery, and for working on a sunday. Have you ever seen anyone working at a gas station, working in the garden, painting their house etc. on a sunday? Then you are a heretic for not gathering a mob and stoning them. If you want to do as the Bible commands you to, you must also gather a mob and track down and kill me because I have tried to "lead you away fro Yahweh, your god."
Have you ever gone to church? If so, you are a heretic. Jesus himself stated that only the hypocrites pray in public. According to him, you should do all your praying alone.
The Bible is full of stuff like this, and anyone who wants to take the entire thing seriously doesn't belong in our society. It utterly fails both as a scientific and moral guide, so don't choose the book of Genesis over for the Big Bang Theory, star and planet formation theories, Abiogenesis and the Theory of Evolution, which are all backed by mountains upon mountains of objectively verifiable evidence, and are supported by as good as every single scientist in the relevant fields of study in the Western World.

Creations "theory" is anti-science. It is a dogmatic belief that is not backed by any evidence, flies in the face of evidence and will not change because of evidence. It starts with the assumption that its position is correct, and then tries to find evidence to support it. It doesn't help advancing the knowledge of mankind either. It is, in fact, everything that proper science isn't. In other words; anti-science.
