I've seen it before. It contains nothing but lies and misrepresentations of facts. I'm gonna comment on a few of the ludicrous claims made there later.
Trust me, Creationism is junk science. Believe in god all you want, but please, don't take the side of the anti-scientists of the Creationism movement.

Well Being a Christian to me means believing in what the bible says and its says god made the universe.I'd like to see your comments though. And what do you mean by anti-scientist?

That is what I believe, and also the official position of the Catholic Church.

The Bible also says that pi = 3.0, it promotes rape, incest, oppression and abuse of women, slavery, abuse of slaves, racism and genocide. According to the Bible, stoning is the proper punishment for adultery, and for working on a sunday. Have you ever seen anyone working at a gas station, working in the garden, painting their house etc. on a sunday? Then you are a heretic for not gathering a mob and stoning them. If you want to do as the Bible commands you to, you must also gather a mob and track down and kill me because I have tried to "lead you away fro Yahweh, your god."
Have you ever gone to church? If so, you are a heretic. Jesus himself stated that only the hypocrites pray in public. According to him, you should do all your praying alone.
The Bible is full of stuff like this, and anyone who wants to take the entire thing seriously doesn't belong in our society. It utterly fails both as a scientific and moral guide, so don't choose the book of Genesis over for the Big Bang Theory, star and planet formation theories, Abiogenesis and the Theory of Evolution, which are all backed by mountains upon mountains of objectively verifiable evidence, and are supported by as good as every single scientist in the relevant fields of study in the Western World.
RayStormGirl wrote:And what do you mean by anti-scientist?
Creations "theory" is anti-science. It is a dogmatic belief that is not backed by any evidence, flies in the face of evidence and will not change because of evidence. It starts with the assumption that its position is correct, and then tries to find evidence to support it. It doesn't help advancing the knowledge of mankind either. It is, in fact, everything that proper science isn't. In other words; anti-science.

WHOA HOLY CRAP.Well I guess I shouldn't take everything seriously in the bible.....Maybe.....God made evolution and the big bang?Thats what my mom says(maybe I should listen to her more....)......man I'm so confused now.

That is at least physically possible. If you want to be a Christian and not have a view on the physical world that's 150 years outdated, I'd say this is a reasonable position to take.
And if you have any questions about any of the "evidences" for creation on the creation museum websites, feel free to ask me. I'll either answer them myself or link you to texts or videos answering them.

Any reasonable Christian would acknowledge that some parts of the Bible are only allegorical, and the Genesis is one of them. The theory of evolution is not incompatible with faith, but one needs to understand that a book written almost two millennia ago cannot be used to disprove scientific facts, such as the value of Pi, and theories based on such facts, i.e. that of evolution.
I quite like this picture by the way:

Okay, but that'll have to wait until another day. I've got maths homework that I've been putting off for way too long now.

@ Tobbe: "Promotes" those things, my ass. More-so just acknowledges that they exist.

The value of Pi bit is actually an example of something scientists have found astonishing though, actually, more than "hur hur that's so wrong." It's actually one of the oldest acknowledgments of the value of Pi ever written down in recorded history, and we're talking stone tablets written in Greek here. We've refined our values today, re-examined the equations, yes, but it is one of the first steps of our understanding of the world, just as the whole Bible could be, even if you aren't looking at it in a religious sort of light. For example, a lot of the Jewish practices mentioned in the Old Testament such as separating meat, vegetables, and cheese (kosher), we now recognize as just being measures for the time to keep one alive by preventing food poisoning.
Of course, knowing the things we know about germs today, some of these olden day practices are unnecessary, even when they could have been very much so at the time.

Wow I didn't know that.Thats a cool fact.I always wondered why that was in there.

What forum is that? I'd love to see the discussion.
It's not so much in any one topic; he basically participates in any political or religion based discussions. He's on Smogon University and is known as Deck Knight. The best specific topic I can think of is "The Well - Deck Knight" in FireBot.

No, it isn't. The Egyptians approximated the value of pi to 22/7 (=3.142857...) as far back as the 26th century BCE. That's about 2100 years before the Dead Sea Scrolls were written, 1600 years before Solomon was born according to biblical history, and about 200 years before the global flood according to the same history. Both the Babylonians and the Indians could approximate pi with astonishing accuracy long before the authors of the Book of Kings were born, as well.
But that the Jews managed to get the value of pi wrong by 4.5% is just a funny curiosity (considering that the Bible is supposed to be the literal word of an inerrant god and all). The Bible contains far more sinister things than mathematical errors (although they can be pretty sinister too

). Just take a look at this site:
The Dark Bible
Although it is true that not all of the atrocities in the Bible are commited by Yahweh in person, or by his direct order (although quite a few of them are, see the quote below), a lot of them are commited in his name by people who are inspired by him. If you want to interpret the Bible literally then you can find divine justification for just about
anything in its pages.

This one is rather more apt, I think.

I think it says so somewhere in the first few books, I remember coming across it and being amused.

pi = circumference/diameter = 30 cubits/10 cubits = 3.0

Oh BTW Tobbe are you gonna show me the texts and videos here on this thread or in a PM?
You know whats funny in math class in 7th maybe 8th grade we used 3 as Pie so we would have to multiply decimals XD.
Edit:Spiraldoor, that thread's very interesting. Not the first part but the other parts that people posted after it.I didn't know evolution was observed ethier.....man am I behind the times or something.

Presumably those figures weren't meant to be accurate.
